    I was never great at hitting the curveball, but I could have tee'd off on that ****ing hanger Fiers just lobbed up there.

    Sure. There are arguments to made for Gary Pettis being fine, or the Astros being a good baserunning team, or standing pat at the trade deadline outside of a starting pitcher with an ERA of 5.88 being made into a left handed specialist, or any number of things. All of those arguments don't mean as much as how the team is playing right now and have played for the last month.
