As for now Melo won't go there so i'm not even sure why it's worth talking about the Blazers...like others said, if Melo will be willing to waive the no trade, why don't do that for Cleveland or the Pelicans to play with Davis, Boogie and Holiday since they're better than Lilly, CJ and Nurkic? He would also be closer to his family there....anyway Portland would be the worse defense in the league if they add Melo, they would make the playoffs (still behind GS, HOU, SA and OKC imo) but their defense would suck too much to pass the first round anyway.

Meh, I do think there is an outside chance Melo would agree to Portland at some point. He's being recruited hard and obviously likes those guys since he is playing and practicing with them.

That said, the latest Isola column said Mills reassured Melo they would get a deal done or something like that.

I think there is ZERO chance he plays for Portland. Only reason why he is willing to come out west either the Clipper or Rockets was because CP3 and that is it. Otherwise is preference was to stay on the East Coast and close to his family. No way he agrees to go to Portland.
