    It will feel like a failure because while CP3 improves the team, it's not enough to beat the Warriors.

    The Rockets aren't going to rush. They have their deal ready and the Knicks are just hoping that Melo changes his mind on what team to go to.

    Or the deal is in place and the Knicks have agreed to trade Melo to the Rockets, but they are waiting for a third team to include pieces they actually value in place of Ryan Anderson. That may be more likely to occur as the season progresses.

    If we don't get Carmelo I think the season will mostly feel like "what could have been". Thats storyline will be attached to the whole season.
