Every time I see the title of this thread, it makes me think about those stupid infomercials in the TV Guide list... "Say Hello to Better Abs!" "Say Hello to Better Sex!"
Yup, and that is because they removed the "rings" design element that added a "vertical" association with the uniform. Now the front is awash in red material with nothing to break it up making the uniforms baggy. This is compounded by the "THIN" smaller font, instead of a bigger THICKER font to take advantage of the jersey real estate. Bigger Fonts is something you are seeing on most new uniforms, something i have mentioned repeatedly. When people say, "wow, Harden looks thin" or "wow, Harden looks fat" he the same size. It is just the clothes/cut that either flatter him or not.
LOL @ that cover, seriously two Hardens? Hahaha @ Rockets twitter bragging about this 'teaser' By the way, why is the Nike swoosh not straight but slightly more upward.
Honestly feel like Nike did the following when designing these: (1) surveyed the design in front of an all Chinese audience for approval (2) found a design that would hurt Hardens image as an Adidas spokesman (3) presented the Rockets with false data, and explained how the this would draw the Chinese fans
It's not the shoulder cuts that look ugly, it's the overall design. The under arm pit arrows that don't match the pant design, the terrible font and the font size. I'm praying the black unis look halfway decent
