Yeah even on the short/ intermediate passes he completed i would have liked to see him do a better job of putting the ball out in front of the receiver. He left quite a few yards on the field in the first half.
Hopkins might have been able to do something with it, but the ball was behind him and off target. He had to stop and go after it. Watson did well enough with some of the other things he did to where we don't have to pretend some of his bad throws were good.
Play calling is much more varied and interesting than last year. Special teams don't look special. Savage looked putrid on the first two drives, then got into a groove. Watson flashed some magic and some inexperience. I think he is going to very special. Foreman is a beast; don't understand why they pulled him out when got close. Hope he is not hurt. Starting offensive line took a while to get going but looked good on the TD drive.
i think you guys discount his job... he has created and maintained a culture that has created competition within and has won games... no matter what kind of offense genius you have you have to be lucky and have a great QB I don't care what anyone says and just because you don't find a great QB in the bargain bin doesn't mean someone isn't a good coach. You can say he squeaked by and won division titles with a great defense but there are plenty of teams in the NFL that would love to be doing that and there are plenty of worse coaches in the league.
Tom Savage gets good completion percentage and it doesn't feel like anything happened haha. I think that will be the ongoing story with him. Doesn't do much with the offense, but puts up good completion and QB rating numbers.
I do NOT underrate the job he's done as a head coach. I've said here before that what he has done from a culture standpoint is commendable. It ultimately won't matter if he can't figure out how to run a good offense though. I really wanted him to bring in an offensive coordinator that could be a different set of eyes on the offense, but he has chosen not to do that.
Well he certainly wasn't as exciting because he wasn't scrambling around on every play, but after the slow start, he rebounded well by making accurate passes and he started to get the ball out more quickly. Sure a lot of it was check downs and screens, but what he currently has over Watson is accuracy.
Honestly I don't even want to respond to you anymore... why do you even watch sports? Have you ever enjoyed anything as a sports fan? You have got to be the most miserable sports fan I've ever come across. We could win the Super Bowl and you wouldn't even enjoy it because whoever your guy was that year wasn't playing.
LOL what a weird response to me simply pointing out the obvious, that BOB brings essentially nothing to the table and that in the past few years the team has been leaning on RAC's defense. I mean, you can't refute that so you call me a "miserable sports fan"? That's so odd.
