No one know that the Lannisters are broke and their mines aren't producing.

They specifically mentioned the black water rush which is the river just outside of kings landing.

Anyway, I think we should just accept that the writers of the show don't really have any regard for the map. There is a road straight from highgarden to kings landing, there's no reason they would need to cross the black water rush.

They know that they had depleted forces and that she was murdering everyone and that her allies like the freys were getting killed.

I though bronn was pointing to highgarden and asking for the castle?

That was beginning of the episode. By the end of the episode they had moved a great distance. Tarly told Jamie all the gold had already entered kings landing and then mentioned crossing the blackwater rush.

You're right. I just wasn't clear on how time progressed between that scene and the battle.

Given the position of Dragonstone relative to Kings Landing, the battle probably should have happened right outside Kings Landing. But... it's all good.

Yep, awesome episode. I was sure Bronn was going to bite the dust, and then I was sure Jaimie was going to die, so yay for that. I like both of those guys.

I had to go back and re-watch the scene between Littlefinger and Varys to get the full impact of what bran said. That was cool.

And I have to say, little Maisie Williams has probably just made herself a big star in the future, if that was really her doing all of that badass fighting, that was excellent, and she carried it off extremely well.

Hopefully soon we get to catch back up with the Hound again, and Jorah, and find out how the Unsullied are going to get back to Dragonstone.

And lastly, with Dany's penchant for co-opting defeated foes into being loyal to her, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she makes the same offer to Jaimie and Bronn, and they accept (or at least Bronn does).

And yeah that did seem to be an awfully unrealistically deep 'river' right there in the sand where Jaimie was galloping. But oh well. Suspense.

But they don't know to the extent the Lannisters are depleted financially and army wise. Also Cersi is uniting houses against "a foreign queen with a foreign horde". That's how they got the Tarleys to side with them over the Tyrells.

Goal was to rob part of what would have gone to the Iron Bank.

Can't stand the Lannisters, they could all go to hell except for Peter Dinklage.

So, anyone still think Arya wasn't planning to slaughter Ed Sheeran's Merry Men of House Lannisters, until she saw how young and homely they were, with no real allegiance. I think they did this to show how she has some goodness of The Hound in her.

lulz at thinking this bad ass, op assassin was in any danger, though.

btw: she eats like The Hound, too...in last episode with the baker-boy....asking for the pie reminded me of The Hound asking for "that chicken." and gobbling it down while talking.

Arya is op and needs nerf are game playing feedback comments regarding something (weapon, shield, ring) or someone being too powerful and needs to be leveled down by the game developers, or it ruins the game.

    op = overpowered
nerf = to lessen the power/weaken

I think one of Bronn or Jamie doesn't make it. I think Tyrion is going to be put in a very uncomfortable situation.

Too much was made about their reunion's first hug. Arya initiates a second hug at the end of that scene. I think the love between the two is there. They're a family again finally.

With Bran I'm wondering if he's going to make some ultimate sacrifice of one of his siblings to save the Realm...as in he knows one of them is going to die but does nothing to stop it because it has to happen in order for the White Walkers to be defeated.

It just seems like it's headed in this direction since he keeps telling people he's not Bran

My understanding is that Lannister's group was headed back to King's Landing(top right) after being in Highgarden(bottom left). Danny's group crosses the Stormlands from Storm's End(right) and the battle occurs at Bitterbridge(center). (EDIT: I've been corrected on the battle place, happens at the Blackwater Rush crossing)

The alternate route home would take them to Casterly Rock and that is occupied.

Ah, this makes more sense. There's a road straight from Storm's End to Blackwater Rush and from Highgarden to Blackwater Rush. That makes more sense than meeting at Bitterbridge.

Someone mentioned Blackwater so it's probably the river right before King's Landing.
