Hoping writers don't go all let's help Cersei again but when Jamie surfaces how the hell is he going to escape unnoticed by Danys forces? Bronn too?
Wasn't the gold in that caravan being escorted by the army? Hence why Bronn had a satchel full of it.
The gold was sent ahead to King's Landing. Wasn't burned or lost. Also, I know everyone keeps mentioning the grain being burned, but it looked like she was intentionally missing the grain and only burning all of the other supplies.
My question is after killing all of those Lannister soldiers at Casterly Rock, and after invading HighGarden and losing soldiers there and now all these forces being burnt to a crisp how many soldiers could the Lannister truly have remaining? And the Dothraki should have wiped out everyone including General Randall Tarly. Who in the books is supposedly the greatest soldier in the realm. It should be Euron and his magical navy which again the Iron Islands is thinly populated to begin with and a great deal of them went with team Dany, and whatever soldiers remain in Kings Landing. I guess Cersei will bring over the Golden Company that should be interesting. And where the hell is Dorne? Cersei just captured and killed your rulers you gonna just sit this one out? Who the hell is in charge over there James Dolan!?!? Get off your ass and do something!
At least we didn't see Euron's fleet sail up the river and catapult the Dothraki horde to smithereens.
Yeeeep... I wonder how much of this GRRM had planned. I hope we'll find out one day if the dude ever finishes those books. I wonder though if shock deaths would serve the story now though. If Jon or Dany were to die before the final battle it would mostly suck I think. If they die as a result of the final battle, then fine, but before? It feels like at some point the story is building towards something big, before, characters could be replaced. When Robb died, it was still early, his role could be replaced. Same with Joffrey, his role as villain replaced easily by Ramsay. Now, it's too late in the game for that.
The story clearly has to go deeper than one final battle. They have to beat back the white walker army before anything can truly be decided about westeros. I think Jon Snow knows exactly what's up. He knows bending the knee doesn't mean a thing other than more confusion about the enemy. Khaleesi seems like a manipulator lately. I think he will squash that.
I'm pretty sure the show is going the direction of romance for these two characters. I doubt they will be at odds. This last episode shows that Jon is already in her close circle of trusted advisors.
Instead of spending weeks to look around for dragon stone, maybe Jon Snow got a piece of chalk and started doodling about the big evils. First smile. Then take deep breaths.... There's 10 episodes left. I'm guessing people be dying in the cliffhangers and the last half of the long season (next year). Writing yourself into a corner is real. They're taking years of GRRM's trolldom and trying to make a satisfying ending out of decades of mind****ery. That also means simplifying the story and making the pictures pretty and understandable. It's almost over, so I'm putting the endless nitpickery and instant gratification on pause. But who knows, maybe JJ Abrams will take the reins and **** all over the place by making the next few episodes cool, edgy, and mysterious.
who is more stubborn? the person that won't bend the knee; or the person requesting for the knee to bend? : A very deep voice: Tomorrow I have to take off to fight in a meaningful war against frozen zombies but before I do, I'll go ahead and get on one knee. I knew nothing, but I've learned many things along my journey to you.
Dragon seemed alright in the trailer. Besides aren't they needed to fight the white walkers. Don't think they'd be killed off before that.
I was pretty impressed with this episode. Bronn's point of view had a Battle of the Bastards feel to it. Pretty impressive staging, if it was going to be the shortest episode they sure got the best bang for their buck! Next week's episode looks good as well.
