Always need to self justify a way to be optimistic in the situation you are in.

Pat will never go soft. I have no problem with how he motivates himself.

He wasn't calling houston a smaller stage. he was looking for a bigger role in a team and he got that. nothing about the stage he played in but the role within. He had a nice role here but a role player at the end of the day.

He's doesn't want to be relegated to merely being a 3&D guy. Understandable.

@iNoseBleedRed still can't spell Beverley's name correctly. And I can guarantee LA fans are going to spell it like Beverly Hills all the time, too.

    poor Bev

oh, and the original source (Woj Podcast) was already posted, yesterday

That's fine. He didn't make a stink of it while he was here. He gave his all.

Also he didn't celebrate leaving Houston in a club with Mark Cuban so he's automatically a level above Chandler-esque.

(I also doubt Morey explicitly agreed to trade Pat's stupidly team-friendly contract to help him - more likely once the Shumpert trade rumors started they came to an understanding that both were okay with moving on for the right deal).

I love him but I don't think a bigger offensive role is what he needs. He looked really good last year but the years before mehhhh. O well prove me wrong wolvy

The only reason Pat looked good was because of the role he played.

he can probably average 14-15 ppg and 5apg. quality starting 3 and d pg. he can get paid off that

15/6/6 is his ceilibg imo with 1.5 spg

Isn't this a contract year. I don't blame him for wanting a bigger role. That means he must've knew CP3 was coming all along as well as harden and Ariza and knew he wasn't goin be able to prove himself to the league as more than he already was.

I have no problem with Beverley. Was my favorite rocket the past few seasons. I often think what would've been if he was healthy for the year postseason we went to the wcf.

Folks do not overreact. He does not mean the city of Houston is a smaller stage or smaller market.

    Smaller than LA for sure.

His role was small or at least the basketball stage was rather smaller for him.......

Still wish him nothing but the best. He's got a family to feed. Clippers might give that to him. Heck if Spreewell couldn't do it with the money he was offered in Minnesota back in 2005. Beverly has to be struggling now in 2017/2018. I totally understand it sucks only having a couple million to your name.

I honestly think he'll get more rebounds than assists... 6 and 4 maybe. I think scoring will range from the 12–15 ppg because he won't have anyone creating for him.

His decision making under pressure was always shaky. Might change with his role increasing though. Best of luck to him.
