It just shows the sad state of affairs that the previous administration left behind. Trump needs to completely clean house, it's obvious that holdovers from the previous administration cannot be trusted to not break the law in order to score political points even if it hurts the country.
LOL, these transcripts are probably not nearly as embarrassing as the things Trump willfully says on Twitter or in speeches and interviews every single day, let alone things he says when he thinks nobody is listening to his good friend Billy Bush. You basically want hte PResident - this president of all people, to be able to use things like this as a sword and a shield - he can brag about how tough he was with Mexico in a phone call and put out a press release about it and have his staff leak things to reporters about it both on and off the record....but if a third party tries to verify it - its' tawdry. Again, you're just flat wrong and you don't have to be Ben Bradlee to figure that part out, but if you want to end up with four more years of Trump, a media that applies this weird version of restraint you are urging is probably the way to go, (and probably a reason why we ended up with Trum in the first place)
1. We need to clean house starting with Trump, the biggest shitstain in the WH. 2. Trump is hurting the country every day he's in the WH.
I would argue that we start with those breaking the law in order to score political points despite being entrusted with high positions by the previous administration. I get that when it comes to Trump we won't get a lot of intelligent logic based conversation because of how emotional that topic makes some, so I won't expect too much from you guys.
My case is harder to make when he boasts about his lies and dares the other side to disprove him. Maybe I'm just getting sick of digging through every scandal big and small.
Whoever leaked the information should face criminal charges. It isn't good for national security or the country. Having said that, there is absolutely nothing to support the position that this has anything to do with Obama. Trump has made plenty of enemies and it is quite possible someone he trusts is leaking this information.
Well, it does have to do with Obama given that it's almost certainly holdovers from his administration who are doing the leaking. Clearly they entrusted a bunch of untrustworthy people with positions that handle sensitive information. Either way, even if we assume it's not those people doing it, the answer is clear, the Trump administration needs to completely clean house to prevent future felonies for political purposes.
It's unfortunate that the American public wasn't given a viable alternative. When you have a bottom of the barrel type election with 2 awful candidates, you elect an awful candidate.
Assuming that the people behind the leaks are people appointed by the previous administration isn't honest. Trump supporters are the ones who get emotional when their Dear Leader is criticized, perhaps you should look at them as the reason for a lack of intelligent, logic-based conversation.
Nice assumption. Only in the minds of people who assume facts not in evidence. Agreed, he should simply realize that he is not up for the job and resign so that the White House can be completely cleaned of his buffoonery.
It's a safe assumption given their problems when it comes to mishandling classified information at the highest levels. Only a dishonest or stupid person would suggest that they are unlikely to be the source of the leaks. It's funny, you say that, but then you prove that your opinion is emotion based rather than fact based or logic based with the bolded. It would be similar to someone talking about Obama by calling him a Kenyan socialist.
No, it isn't, it is an assumption based on your partisan bias, nothing more. ONLY a dishonest person would assert that the leaks were made by a previous, high level Obama appointee when virtually all high level appointees were replaced or simply let go by Trump almost immediately. Not emotional at all. The bolded is a reflection on the followers' steadfast denial, not my own emotional state. You really assume a lot. No, not even remotely. My "Dear Leader" statement had nothing whatsoever to do with Trump and everything to do with people like you. Try again, rook.
Either a dishonest or stupid person would think that a white house with so much chaos and disorder to the point where the press secretary calls out the ****ing cheif of staff as a cocking sucking leaker would not have any leaks from disgruntled staffers that were hired by Trump's administration. I think for you, it's the latter.
It's a safe assumption that the Trump campaign was in contact with Russia to get help winning the election in exchange for improved relations between the U.S. and Russia. Only a dishonest or stupid person would suggest that is unlikely. Do you know anyone like that?
As I said in another thread I actually agree with Trump that the Russian sanctions bill is bad law. The Executive is Constitutionally empowered to conduct diplomacy and should be more empowered to do so. These transcripts though show again why in this case Congress has felt the need to step into the power of the Executive.
To think, the (GOP) governor of a state in the USA would have to respond back to a POTUS like this? Republican gov: 'The president is wrong' about New Hampshire http://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/345153-nh-gov-the-president-is-wrong-about-nh Or from a US Senator of the State: The Late Show is trying to defuse the situation for Trump...
