That has nothing to do with what I said. I know the Knicks would like to unload him, but they will not do it at the cost of taking a longer (which would be a worst) contract.

Basically, I don't see a trade happening with us. Any taker of Ryno will want to unload some of their own bad contracts, and therefore will also make the Knicks pass. A buyout? I really hope that works for us. I really do. I don't know enough about Melo's personal situation or the Knicks' front office, but I think this is a much more likely scenario than a trade (though I do feel it may be too good to be true). I will stop posting about why I feel a trade is very unlikely. By the end of the summer, I will either be right or wrong, and I'm sure if I'm right enough argumentative people will ignore my reasoning on the whole trade situation. I really hope I'm wrong, but seeing that I feel its common sense on why this trade is so hard, I'm clearly not hopeful.

    A) The Suns are reportedly RELUCTANT to trade Josh Jackson.

    B) There has been NO REPORTS that the Melo situation is AT ALL effected by the Kyrie Irving situation and that was literally one of the first reports on Melo after the Kyrie Irving trade demands came to light.

    C) There was just a report TODAY that Melo would not waive his NTC for Cleveland thus rendering any and all deals between Cleveland and NYK null and void if they involve Melo

    D) The Knicks have reportedly said NO to moving Porzingis for kyrie irving and the knicks have no assets or value to the Cavs after that.

Kyrie Irving stopping anything that is going on with Melo is message board speculation at best.

I think it's a possibility, but I only think it's an issue in a sea of red. Only two teams that RED out the arena are Houston and Chicago. Sure, other teams have red around, but do the fans and the arena throw it everywhere? Plus, we know the Blazers fans don't red out, Miami wear white a ton, Toronto doesn't really have a full red theme either. Houston, Chicago? Everything revolves around red. We're red nations.

Now, Ryno's shooting could be something else. Color blindness is a theory. It is not proven. You just tried to poke holes in something with not much success (thus far as you could still be right).

That don't mean anything dude. Soon enough suns will fold and cave into giving up Jackson

What does that even mean? Like you're not worth responding to because you're worthless? I don't get it, but followers like yourself will copycat anyone that says something once because you think it makes you part of whatever's in. Quit riding waves, make you own ways.

Of course it means something because those are all actual reports based on what is REALLY going on, not just pure conjecture from the living room couch.

Why would the Sun cave in and give up Jackson? They're in 100% rebuild mode and Jackson is a very important component for that. They are deliberately going in the direction they are going in for a rebuild which includes young talent and Jackson is exactly a perfect piece for that.

You have no argument that supports the idea that the Suns will magically "fold" eventually. I have a REAL report that says the Suns are reluctant to trade Josh Jackson and i'm basing my opinion on that. It can be fun to play trade games on PS3 or xbox, but there's real stuff going on in the real NBA world.

I buy the color blindness theory. Look at Ryno's 3pt% each year at the Toyota Center prior to joining the Rockets (look at splits on ESPN). It's bad pretty much every year. Below his average and sometimes BAD. It could be that we've guarded him better than any other team (and the sample sizes are tiny) but I think there's something about to this theory.

Ryno was a huge part of our victory over GSW at the start of the year. We led that whole game! I think he helped our team a lot last year but it's hard to get over his poor shooting at home. 46% 3ptrs on the road 33% 3ptrs at home. It wasn't like that at NO.

so when i first brought it up in reply to SuperKev i was going by vague recollection of the thread on this some months back, and *wrongly* recalled that it had been debunked citing stats vs CHI, when it had actually been supported by those stats. i'd still like to see the splits for actual games at united center. and during the thibs tenure, CHI was also a great defensive team, so not sure how that plays into his shooting numbers as well. he's also shot 3's below par vs LAC/BOS/CHA/MEM/GSW/SAS during his career.

Both peoples points are valid. Like it has been stated in other ways before, It comes down to how much is the aggravation of keeping Melo worth?

    a) Melo being disgruntled, possible poisoning locker and being a discontent, and paying him $54M ... maybe
    vs
    b) Possible taking on bad contracts for roughly the same money spread over extra yr .... maybe.

Which is the lesser of the 2 evils to the Knicks? I would think b.

You and me both. I find this theory so fascinating, the truth of it all is that it may have no real substance to it. If I'm MDA, I straight up ask him and if he says yes, he's playing closer to the basket or riding pine at home.

Lol sorry. Sarcasm is sometimes difficult on the internet.

It was a joke on the black seats but also on stereotypical assumption of Atlanta's population of African Americans. But since I had to explain my joke I guess the joke fails, right?

No need to jump into insults. I get that you're in the mist of your Ryno debate but chill for a sec.

so i have a longtime friend in NYC whose myopia is so bad we joke that he could legally get a dog. when he goes to lenscrafters to pick up his newly made prescription they get all pissed at him for having ruined the calibration on their machine. for his wedding in a previous decade we went to barneys together to pick out a nice suit. they had nothing in his size (weightlifter with huge torso and tiny waist). then the salesguy says wait let me check in the back, and ends up bringing out the coolest super 150's olive green suit and says it's half off too. fast forward 4yrs later and we reminisce about this story. and my boy is like... "what green suit? i wore a black suit to my wedding". he argues with me for a few minutes, until i bring up the fact that the suit was half off. and black suits never go on sale at barneys. turns out he was never diagnosed until he got tested a week after that discussion.
