You replied within 5 minutes of me posting that. Am I to validate that in my head somehow?

What is red and white and has the ability to save the Knicks some money? Our 17 different non-guaranteed contracts.

What wears colors and bounces a ball in 25 plus cities? Teams that can take on Anderson's contract.

Why are you starting off on square zero 33 days after all this got started?

There was a report by ( I can't remember who) that the Melo deal was on the 2 yard line. Since then there is a new Knicks GM, Irving wanting out of Cleveland. I some how feel as if the Knicks are holding out hoping some better option to come along, but as time goes on, nothing transpires and Melo wanting to go to Houston the Knicks will have take what is on the table.

Deal won't happen before Irving is traded unless Morey or Knicks GM budges. It's a waiting game and neither side is in a rush. Only Melo can throw a wrench in this and my guess is Knicks trying to use this to say Rockets are holding up the deal in the hope Melo will broaden his teams of preference.

Cavs need to hurry up and trade Irving a team like the pelicans so we can get melo. Irvings list of teams having New York on it is going to make us wait on a deal.

Our non-guarenteed don't come close to getting the job done. If you think there is a third team that's saying right now "hey we have 20 million plus in expirings, lets use it all to facilitate a 3 way Melo trade that lands us Ryno" then you're just too delusional to even try to explain to you the complexity of the situation.

Maybe this will help. There is only a select few teams willing to take on Ryno. From those teams, about zero of them have that much in expirings to send out.

If I was Melo agent I would tell him to stand pat because Melo has leverage and Knicks have to do something in the next 5-6 weeks.

If there is anything Morey is good at, it's the waiting game. He's not going to do any deal just to get it done now. The price is what it is...let the Knicks squirm for a month or two and then watch them fold.

I agree with the sentiment... Cavs should go ahead & send Kyrie (Shumpert + Frye as well) to Suns for 2 1sts, Bledsoe, Chandler, & TJ Warren. It is best deal they are going to get; puts Kyrie in Western Conference; & ensures they can rebuild for LAL (Life After LeBron).
Right after that either Detroit (Tobias) or Portland (Harkless) is going to be most attractive partner for Anderson's contact with some incentive from Rox.

We're in a hiding pattern. Nothing is on the 2 yard line.

They already had the framework of a deal in place with the whole "two yard line" stuff and it was NY that stopped that, not the third team, so clearly there has been moderate interest from third parties regarding Ryno. It looks like you are the one who is too delusional to comprehend the complexity of the situation.

I disagree because if Melo isn't going waive his NTC for Cleveland, then no deal can be done. Also, its been reported Cleveland isn't crazy about taking Melo, and likely wouldn't deal for him nor is NYK going to give up Porzingis, which is one of the only pieces on NYK that Cleveland would want.

I think the Kyrie Irving situation has nothing to do with the Melo situation. There's nothing to get done between Cleveland and NYK.'

Its just the media hyping up NYK because Kyrie mentioned them as one of his "destination teams".

Too many potential moving pieces to/from too many possible destinations; leaving 'everyone' in a holding pattern while waiting for Unc to relo.

Nope. You just come out of nowhere and try to argue about something you clearly didn't read up on. I said a trade where a team gives up all expirings to acquire Ryno and facilitate Melo to us isn't happening. Nowhere in those rumors (also keep in mind that they were rumors) did they say a team was giving up expirings. In fact, those "two yard line" rumors that you feel carry so much weight actually said no one could find a taker for Myers Leonard. Why? Because he has 3 more years and is not an expiring. So who's delusional again? 100% you lost this argument.

Also making an argument about how a trade 'almost' happened so its true is so weak. Trade didn't happen, so you really shouldn't use it for your case.
