but he was always going to fill out because of his big stocky frame. He takes care of his body, if he didn't, he couldn't play 80 games every season. When he was around Durant, he was young and nowhere near his peak body yet.
People want the flashiness. But if we compare Westbrook and Harden's style, I can take a pretty good guess on which of their games will age better.
Look at dwade he was like Westbrook with more grace. He's 34 and his game has fallen off a cliff once he hit 30. Still a pretty good player but he hasn't been a true franchise top 10 player in over 5 years. His last two seasons with Lebron he was 29 and 30 and he was not the same guy as when Lebron first got to south beach. He aged fast. He also peaked extreamly early the sky looked like the limit he was legit top 4 player and champ before he was 25 years old. His prime just didn't last long and it and way to early. I like we're harden is at 27 gonna play this season at 28 and is hitting his prime maybe not physically but his skill is still so sharp that even if he loses a half step in 2 years when he turns 30 I see no reason he can't be a 25/5/5 guy until he's 34. Harden imo has 6-7 more years of being a top 2 guy on a championship team and that's an extreamly long peak of elite play for anyone. He'll end up top 10 in points and maybe can crack the top 10 in assist depending on hiw he adjusts to playing with other stars moving to the second half of his career. The fact that harden in all likelyhood is going to have 10 consecutive seasons of 25+ 5+ and 5+ is something that's only been done by maybe 5 players in the history of the game. Harden is and alltime guy I don't get the constant disrespect this guy gets from media fans ext. Guy is in the playoffs every year and wins 50+ games But yet we celebrate guys like tmac who didn't have half the success or longevity harden is having. Blows my mind.
The whole squad quit. Whiners want to blame one guy but the truth is everyone STUNK & eventually quit.
