They acquired him so they can steal Cleveland's signs if they meet in the playoffs.

He had zero future in our outfield. Robbed is a major overreaction to this. It is a solid trade. Nothing flashy but not one sided by any means.

I would be surprised if the Astros trade Fisher now that Aoki and Hernandez are gone

I'm fine with the trade as I don't think we lost anyone important, but man it sure seems like other GMs are able to get better value in their deals than Luhnow. Just this deadline, I've seen better players than Liriano dealt for a return less than Teoscar.

I am pleased we at least made a move, hopefully more to come (with a little bit better value...)

Fisher, Beltran, Marisnick, Springer, Reddick... Springer is back soon, and Beltran/Gonzalez can spot start if needed.

Can't see Fisher moved now with Aoki gone. Not unless we are getting an OF from someone in a deal too

Yea thinking about right now, without Springer. Guess they could use Beltran there but his best position is bench

    Astros have plenty of outfielders.
Teoscar didn't have a place on this roster. He could be a good player but we're going to lose guys like him to the numbers game anyways. This freed up a spot for Fisher and upgraded the pen. Win for both teams.

Can't be serious...Teoscar is just in the way of our uber prospect Tucker who I think is closer to the big leagues than we all realize.

It's not about Teoscars future with Houston; it's about value. Liriano is not even worth his contract, and now Houston has given them a guy with 20/20 CF upside and a solid floor. Not to mention that it reduces Houstons depth in AAA in case any MLB OF get hurt.

Still want a starter. Gray and Britton. Wish we could have thrown Tucker and someone else at Toronto and they added in Stroman.

During the first Cleveland series, he had just entered the game and they had a "Jumbo" promotional ad by the box score (may have been for JITB). A very nice coincidence (they had the same ad in the same inning the next night when he wasn't pitching).

First I hated the deal (when I found out it was Liriano)
Then I was okay with it (knowing it cost Aoki and some OF)
Then I loved it (knowing it would mean less of Sipp)
Now not so much (knowing it cost Teoscar who could have helped bring Britton)
