Twins appear to have begun selling. I'm surprised there hasn't been more chatter about the Blue Jays and Pirates; both of those teams have fallen further out of it and really should be selling.
What big name Starting pitchers are FA in the offseason? Everyone is under contract next season so no reason to clean out the farm right now when we could sign some talent this winter.
I'd worry about the off-season in the off-season. Odds are, this year (even with this latest hiccup) remains the best chance this team is going to have to win it all. It's not just their record, but the fact that none of the other AL teams are all that dominant. Yes, anything can happen in the post-season... but if the Astros are at full strength, and playing up to their potential, there's nobody better. The only problem now, as it pertains to the trade deadline, is that neither health or playing up to past-performances are a given.
The reason to clean out the farm now is squarely rooted in the fact that we are a VERY VERY serious WORLD SERIES CONTENDER. Why is anyone even thinking about 2018 when we still have a world series possibility? Thats ridiculous. Anyways, guys like Gray are under contract until 2019.
I would have pulled the trigger had I known Marwin was going to do what he is. Of course nobody predicted that.

Honestly I could give a **** about 2018 right now We have never had a better chance to win it all than right now How about let's go for it now?
Oh I agree. I was just responding to his question. Houston has a 2 year contender window here like they have never had and likely never will have. They need to capitalize. Damn the cost.
Fwiw, no prospects have been pulled from any games today; not that it means much since any number of pitchers weren't throwing anyway, and several teams played early.
Lot of smoke around Wilson and the Cubs; 2 Cubs prospects not in lineup. I felt good that Houston would get Wilson. No clue where they go from here.
