Anybody can win a championship, but it takes a special kind of player to literally PICK THE OPPOSING TEAM to beat your team when you are butthurt and injured and YOUR team is KICKING ASS.

    Stacy is a LOSER.

Actually. . . THEY *WON* NOTHING
They won a championship . . . like I won an Oscar for watching Moonlight
    They were on the team
They were a part of the organization
    but they didn't WIN sh*T

Which Is why TMac's statement is as wack as he is . . .

When someone WINS a championship they IMO had to be a Key Contributor
Horry, Hodges, Kerr - they helped WIN championships
Jent, Nevitt and Granville waiters did not

Sitting on benches or getting stop work for resting people is not WINNING basketball

So NO . . .people who WIN championships are special
maybe no Hall special . . but for one point in time they were Special

How do you expect this to pass as a rational argument? They did win championships, they were on the roster, they got paid, they were in the NBA system as an eligible player that could have played at any moment had it been deemed necessary by the coach, they have rings, they wore the shirts, they practiced, they were in the parades.

Sounds like you think you know better than the entire history of the NBA.

what a polarizing thread. @swyyyguy jumped out to an early lead but now @tinman is getting caught up and its 31 all. 50/50 split.

T-Mac is right. I can "win a title" if a team feels like carrying me. They can't carry me to a Hall of Fame career, though.

It should never be polarizing. Rockets history is better than Pelicans history. One player in Rockets history who was paid the max salary only played in 20 playoff games.

You don't count how many nutjob fans a player has, it's how successful his teams are in the playoffs.

For whats it worth, i voted No tmacs wrong haha.

For me it really comes down to how unsupportive he was.

Injuries are out of a players control and I can forgive failure but I cant forget how bad of a teammate he looked like in 2009 when he picked the lakers against us after yao, artest, and brooks were lookin like badasses against the blazers.

If you are injured and collecting a check, at least be a cheerleader

Tmac had Yao who was a hall of famer
And Vince carter earlier in his career

You realize his entire career he never led a team as a starter to a playoff series victory?

And yes I understand that McGrady has lots of fans . His fans may outnumber lin fans .
But his playoff series victories as a rocket remain at zero.

    Zero.

    Count with me.

    Zero.

we're the ones who actually like the Rockets winning championships instead of idolizing first round exits.

When Tmac gets a ring... I'll listen.... until then he's like the ex you delete off your phone. Couple good highlight videos you watch in private when you're alone but not worth calling up and listening to what they have to say. Unless of course they call to say they have Aids or ur kid.

Barkley had KJ and.... Dan Majerle? Over the hill Tom Chambers? Barkley won MVP and was the driving force that led that team to the Finals.

T-Mac played with all stars too. But the team results always seemed to be less than the sum of the parts.

Yea, exactly when you said "IMO" did your entire argument render itself worthless. When a player has a ring, it's still considered won. The coaches, owners, fans, and league will agree with that as they themselves push the team aspect of it so fervently.

All those people's "opinions" are more authoritative than yours.
