Assuming we do not get Melo (please consider Morey's prior history of chasing stars) could Ryan Anderson became a star with the benefit of Paul and Harden feeding him wide open threes? It seems logical and Anderson may be a better fit to avoid locker room chaos and the inevitable late night drinking/clubbing baggage that would come along with a Melo/Harden friendship. Keep in mind that our biggest threat to not getting to the Finals this year isn't the Warriors, it's Harden's excessive drinking/clubbing problems.

Horry was also an excellent defender. Consistently among the league leaders in both blocks AND steals.

If everyone in the Rockets organisation had a choice of eradicating one thing.

    A) harden's drinking/clubbing
    Or
    B) the Warriors

Harden would be guzzling a litre bottle of whatever spirit he wanted every single night.

    That comment is just crazy.

Almost as crazy as thinking Ryan Anderson - the guy who can't hit the side of a barn 41 games of the season - is going to turn into one of the most clutch players ever.

Trade him to Phoenix for Charles Barkley? Sure.

If the melo trade didn't go through, would Ryno be mad at rockets trying to trade him and not giving his 100% in the new season?

Agree, but now that we have CP3, if Harden can avoid focusing more on clubbing with a rapper and Kylie Jenner and instead on winning things like game 6 of the playoffs.....the sky is the limit for this team!!!

I'm not sure what's crazier the idea that Ryan Anderson could be Robert Horry or that the downfall of the Rockets is going to be James Harden's drinking. I've never thought James had a problem or partied any more than just about any of his contemporaries. He obviously puts in a **** ton of work on his game, his outside the court activity is a complete non issue.

The Bulls are ****ed if Jordan never gets that gambling addiction taken care of.

More like the rich Matt Bullard. Horry was clutch, great defender and a tremendous athlete. Three things that Anderson is not.

"please consider Morey's prior history of chasing stars)" - you mean like how he got CP3 a few weeks ago? That prior history?

"It seems logical and Anderson may be a better fit to avoid locker room chaos" - you mean locker room chaos after you were offered to just about every team in the league in hopes your employer and your team leaders could dispose of you by whatever means and end up having to come back to the same locker room?

"Keep in mind that our biggest threat to not getting to the Finals this year isn't the Warriors" just lol

Also, Horry played defense and was really young in the championship years. He played with a chip on his shoulders. Ryan Anderson is old, plays scared, and doesn't play defense. Horry was what we had in Parsons his first few years in Houston, not what we have in Anderson now.

    NO HE CANNOT

They do no call him Big SHot Rob for nothing. Meanwhile Anderson passes off wide open shots when his only role is to shoot the damn ball

Horry - Clutch, brave, big shots, never afraid of the big moments
Anderson - Unclutch, p***y, passes of OPEN shots and shrinks under pressure

They couldn't be any more different

No. Horry played good defense on the perimeter and blocked shots at the rim. He also could dribble drive his way from the 3pt line to the basket. Ryan Anderson is more Matt Bullard/Scott Padget/Pete Chilcut/Steve Novak
