Harden is the best player on the team, CP3 is here to complement him. He's a clear upgrade over Bev.
Can you say the same about Kyrie? Kyrie wants to be the alpha dog but who the hell consider him better than Harden? Between him and Harden who the hell will play worse defense?

CP3 easily...even considering the age difference.

The fact that the Cavs collapsed when Lebron sat is telling. Kyrie is supposedly better than anyone on our bench from last season, yet struggled more than our bench to maintain a lead or tread water. Some of that is context, but some of it is his limitations. You put CP3 in those same spots and you expect him to not just maintain, but build a lead.

It's going to be something else watching Gordon come in for CP3 with 5 minutes left in the 1st, then CP3 come in for Harden at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. That doesn't even factor in Melo killing bench PFs and Nene eating backup centers for dinner. Oh and Tucker taking away the primary scoring option for the other team's bench.

    CP3
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Melo
    Nene

Your post just got me pretty hyped thinking about that backcourt rotation. This team could end up having a lot of blowout games (hopefully) like the Warriors the last 3 seasons. So not only will Paul and Harden be more efficient because they can share responsibility of facilitating. They also should get help in that same regard from extra rest in blowouts.

The question is, does CP3 regret getting traded so early? He could have joined LeBron by being traded for Kyrie.

    What's better?

    a) a few years with LeBron

    b) a few years with Harden AND LeBron

Kyrie 2016 finals vs Harden 2012 okc finals. One showed up. The other disappeared.

As we are right now CP3 is the better fit for this team.

I don't think so. I think the flaws in Kyrie's game are pretty apparent. He's a great scorer that does nothing else. Fortunately he's been able to play alongside a guy who is great at everything so all he has to do is score, on 1-1 coverage at that. When he's had to lead a team it hasn't gone so well, which isn't a shocker since he is only great at scoring.

If there's a virtual draft who's drafting Kyrie over Harden right now?
One has led his team to #3 in the NBA as the sole star, one got #5 with help of Lebron James.
Harden can control the entire offense while Kyrie is a lone wolf.

It depends what kind of team you are, if you are in win now mode then its gotta be Cp3. If you have a superstar pg like Houston or GSW then its gotta be Cp3, again because Irving can't play SG. If you have multiple superstars, then its gotta be Cp3, because Irving wants to be the man and he obv won't stay on a team where he has to share the limelight.

Quit acting like this is NBA 2k, these are real people with their own tendencies and preferences. If irving can't stand being 2nd banana to lebron u think he'll be happy being sidekick to Harden? Please.

Before Lebron Irving couldn't make the playoffs. If Lebron had been playing with Chris Paul all this time instead of Irving you think Paul will have failed in the playoffs?

One more piece of information for you. Apparently not only Rockets fans, but also Lebron think CP3 is better. According to reports, he went to Dan Gilbert and asked him to trade Kyrie for CP3.

Do you think you know more about Kyrie and CP3 more than Lebron?

Well the problem with Lebron is he only has 2 years on his contract whereas Cp3 is about to sign a new one either this year or next year. So while he has a chance to play with his banana boat buddy if they lose in the Finals maybe Lebron leaves him alone in Cleveland.

Oth Harden committed to 6 years in Houston so if it works out at least Cp3 has the guarantee of having Harden for a long time. Anyway he opted in for 1 year so if Lebron tells him he will retire in Cleveland he can go there in free agency. There is no downside to Cp3's decision so he shouldn't regret anything. Plus Lebron's teams always have a lot of drama, so if Cp3 doesn't like that he can just stay on the Rox.

Irving was so unselfish he left a contender because he wanted to be the man...wtf?

I don't understand why you lump a scorer like Kobe to a playmaker like Cp3 but call Curry, Irving and Lillard as UNSELFISH SCORERS...what does that even mean? He scores so others don't have to? Oth is Cp3 a greedy playmaker? He hogs all the passes on the team, is that it?

You say Cp3 is a hog but you also said Irving and Curry were high usage scorers...whats the diff between the two?

Finally...you do realize Irving idolizes Kobe, right? He is even on record saying he believes in Mamba mentality. You are one of a very few people who will say Cp3 is selfish but Irving is unselfish.

Geez my post is getting quoted like crazy. Just for the record I think cp3 is better, I was just commenting on the blatant homerism. Kyrie is a great player, cleve leaned on him to win game 7 last year yet some people are pretending he is trash.

I'd take CP3 but Kyrie is way better than some of you are making him out to be. This man dropped 41 on the warriors in the finals. He's a bad bad man.

One question to all on this board....do you think Cleveland would have traded Kyrie for basically just Beverly and Williams??? There is your answer folks.
