It's only july. Give Morey time to fully Shape this roster. If it was March and half our roster was injured and we were fighting for an 8th seed then I could see a reason for this thread. Until then we just have to be patient and see what Morey plugs in to the rotation.
If what is being reported is happening Morey this summer essentially did these moves to our Roster. Beverley for CP3 Lou Williams for PJ Tucker Ryan Anderson for Carmelo Anthony. Not to mention he signed a glorified Asian on our team to fill Les' pockets with Money. The rest of the players were just crap fillers on our team that never get to play anyways. That is a huge upgrade. Morey should win Executive of the Year.
Morey is such a horrible gm that he managed to turn an over the hill Tracy McGrady who was playing on one knee into James Harden via Kevin Martin.

I mean honestly, I can somewhat see the argument that the 1st round pick didn't need to be included. They were losing Chris Paul regardless. Maybe you get them to accept that Bev, Lou, Dekker and Montrezl are plenty of return for a guy who is going to walk anyway. HOWEVER, I expect the Rockets to surpass the Spurs to have the second best record in the league this season. As such, we're talking about the 29th pick. But even if we stayed in the same spot we were in last year, that's the 28th pick. You're not likely to pick up anyone that is going to help you contend that late in the first round. In fact, Morey would rather trade that late of a first rounder for a non-guaranteed 2nd rounder they can draft and stash anyway. The only reason I wish we still had that pick is so we could give it away in this Melo deal. Also, I just want to point out that it's really weird that somehow Morey literally gave away the whole team for a 32 year old point guard and yet this is what our current roster is slated to look like: guards: James Harden Chris Paul Eric Gordon Isaiah Taylor Bobby Brown (likely to return) forwards: Trevor Ariza Ryan Anderson (i'm going to pretend Carmelo isn't happening, but it is) PJ Tucker Zhou Qi Troy Williams (likely to return) centers: Clint Capela Nene Chinanu Okuaku If we literally gave away the whole team for a 32 year old point guard, the only player we'd have would literally be that 32 year old point guard. But that looks like a 9 man rotation right there and a few guys to warm the bench.
He is not perfect.signing Lin over Dragic was a terrible move and Morris over Kwai was another disaster but overall his body of work suggest he has been a damn good GM
