Transgender airman: ‘I would like to see them try to kick me out of my military’

Other transgender service members expressed the same determination to stay in uniform in interviews with Military Times.

“I will continue to report for duty in the uniform of the day until I am forced to receive my DD214” discharge papers, said Sgt. Jack Schuler a transgender man and Army reservist who is a chemical operations specialist. He previously served in the Marine Corps.

“I love serving this country and its people,” he said. ”I love being a part of this military family. My dream is to retire after a long career. I’m not going anywhere, anytime soon.”

A Marine military police officer who is a transgender man (he asked that his name not be used), pointed out that he’s served honorably through two deployments. He’s never endangered his comrades, he said, or made anyone else “conform to my world view.” All he asked for, he said, was the same respect he gave others.

“I have never described myself as trans; I’m a mother----ing Marine,” the corporal said. “That‘s all that matters. Don’t tarnish my title with your bigotry and fear of the unknown.”

Personally, I always felt those who have hangups about LGBTQ individuals are pretty small-minded people. It's nothing that affects anybody else, so who cares? There's too much to do in life with the short time we have to get hung up on that. Just let people be what they want as long as they're not hurting others. Same with prostitution. Most ridiculous thing in the world for that to be illegal. Guy wants to pay for sex- or gal- so what? They're not hurting anyone. Legalize prostitution! Let TGs serve in the military! Bravo!

I think they should not worry about it and deal with it on a case-by-case basis - and if a PERSON is mentally ill, then they release him, or whatever. Too many people make a big ****ing deal about TG individuals- who cares? Let them do what they want- that's their business.

transgender people transitioning are dangerous crazy savages. My friend JIMenez was telling me about this guy who would cut beautiful, thicker, but beautiful women with his shears. He'd slowly and decisively stitch his victim's skin to make dresses. He had the fbi in shambles. VERY SAD ** good taste in music though.
