Seeing AAA guys populate the lineup give me flashbacks to 2014.

The Phillies sure love to admire their fly outs.

45 pitches through 2 is not ideal. We need the Fiersman to show up.

Man, I have to get over this. Every time I hear the name Derek Fisher on the Astros broadcast, my fists clench automatically - until I see him in the batter's box.

Bad home plate ump alert. Pinched Fiers on some pitches last inning and widened the strike zone for the Phillies pitcher.

Tellitlikeitis has done a wonderful job of referring to that player only as DJ Fisher on the bbs.

I'm sure Fiers will end up going around 5 and not give up much... keeping his overall numbers looking great... I just can't fathom anybody who's watched him game-in/game-out being on board with him starting a playoff game where every pitch is magnified.

I'm more nervous about McCullers than Fiers, but point taken.

It's the same sport. Every pitch is magnified and more stressful. So is every swing. Postseason hitters aren't magically better players than they were in the regular season. Going 5 and not giving up much is exactly what everyone is clamoring for in the playoffs. He strikes out a ton of people and doesn't give up a lot of baserunners. I'm not sure what there is to not like.
