you're just being superstitious if you think a new clause would be stronger than the existing one.

The lease is a contract that binds the company (whoever it is) who owns the NBA Franchise License for the Rockets. The landlord is "Harris County HSA." Good luck breaking that clause. That clause with the HSA is stronger than any redundant clause you are thinking of. If you can break that clause, you can break any new one, too. Don't worry. A new, redundant clause won't be any better.

That was actually a very quick read and I'm not a financial guy at all. It's well put together. Congrats, Feigen. At this point you need no verification of your talent, but it's very obvious in this article. Like HeyP, I recommend reading it. It's better than the Bert Steele thread.

Yen is Japanese currency. Yuan is Chinese currency. You're gonna piss off your new Chinese overlords.

@heypartner what do you think the sell is going to do to you personally?

Also, Les knows the NBA hates him and rescinded a trade prior to this potential one with the Knicks. Is it possible that Les is putting the team for sale, then assuming the NBA won't treat the team being sold like asshats, let it go thru and then once the trade is finalized, Les pulls the team off the market and gives the league the middle finger? Boom.. back to back chips!? Legit question..

To be honest, why would Les even care who buys it? As far as he's concerned, wouldn't he just sell to the highest bidder, maximise profits?

Any chance you've seen Railroad Tiger? I friggin' loved that movie. Typical chinese movie where no one takes themselves too seriously, but they tell a fun story that ends up actually being meaningful and surprising. I'm dying to work on a movie in China and seeing how they do everything. Bollywood also.

I don't think tv revenue will decline, but I'm expecting it to plateau. 2 billion is a crazy high deal, but maybe it's the new normal?

Tencent would be one of the few Chinese companies that has billions of offshore money to do so. Supercell and Riot are making tons of cash.

I don't think any NBA team is owned by a company.

One can make a legitimate argument that Spurs are owned by a company (Spurs Sports & Entertainment L.L.C.).

It's centered around Spurs though. Spurs is probably 90% of their value. While Tencent is worth 2-300 billion and 2B is like pocket change
