DH will probably rotate between Gattis and Beltran. I haven't seen any indication we are going to try to get position players. the platooning of Marisnick/Aoki/XXX has been going on in the outfield all season and it's been alright.
Morton coming on strong like this gives a little more room to let Lance work out his issues in Corpus if he needs to. If LMJ isn't feeling 100%, there's no need to pitch through it and risk further injury while racking up L's in the process.
Our version of a Penn coming in, whose only major hit was footloose and resevoir dogs. This movie could go either way. We all dance or we all die.
That was the worst non-call strike I've ever seen. Practically in the middle of the strike zone. Can't wait til the robots take over.
Did they ever DFA somebody when McHugh came back from 60 day or did we have an open spot before that? Very interesting we would DFA anyone when Brady Rodgers can be moved to 60 day DL if we needed a roster spot.
Good outing from Morton. Sipp, Martes and Giles were good. Guys stepping up in the absence of some of the big guns. Great win.
As some would say, "he needs to be in a 'pressure' situation to be successful". 3 up, 3 down, is just not in the cards for that guy. He did pitch well in that inning though.
Giles just needs to strike everybody out, all the time. This scrub just keeps letting a few guys put the ball in play. I mean, he let a guy reach base, why do we even keep him?
Right. They can move him to the 60 anytime they want to. They felt Tolliver was expendable at the moment, if anyone even claims him.
I like that Hinch is testing Martes situationally. Good to see how he pitches coming in with runners on.
