White started 17 games at SS in Fresno this year. He's not mastered the position by any means, but can play it in a pinch. Brignac is certainly superior defensively at SS but he doesn't hit so well.
Twitter rumors going around that he's just been traded. But as far as I know that is a groundless speculation.
God help us if White plays SS. If Bregman has to go on DL, Brignac will have to be added to the roster. I don't know that we have any other legitimate option.
Plausible it's that time of year and all. Announcers haven't said anything about an injury. I feel like they usually do.

He won't (eta: barring emergency). They'd trade spare parts for an all-glove SS or their backup from some floundering team.
Well it's an injury precaution but that was exciting for a moment... if Bregman was going it would have had to be a big fish.
I'm going out on limb to say Bregman wasn't that bad if he tweaked it around second and decided he would still stretch it to three.
I didn't see it while he was running, but that's great news. I wouldn't complain if they put both him and Springer on the 10-day, just to be safe and have a full roster. eta: Reid Brignac hasn't played more than 100 innings at SS since 2013, in the minors.
Might be trading for a damn bat if this bs keeps up. Correa springer Moran Bergman in the span of what a week or so. That's a crock of crap. Don't want to hear injuries happen. Of course they do but three of your every day and one of their backups. Come on.
They're gonna trade for a SS/2B/3B utility guy, they don't care if he can really hit. Or they put JD Davis on the 40 and he's your new 3B and Marwin is your full-time SS. But you still need a backup SS not named Tyler White. Or Reed is your 1B and White/Yuli are at 1st/3rd. But you still need a backup SS not named Tyler White.
