Totinos is my go to because I'm too poor to buy real pizza. But I splurge on getting HEB thick slice pepperoni and add it on top.

Can confirm it was at schools in the area in the 00s too. Terrible pizza but oddly addicting

I almost started a thread once to see if anyone knew how to get a hold of some rectangular elementary school pizza through an alternate channel. I didn't see why it had to be confined to school cafeterias.

I'm sure Sysco or Aramark could hook you up.

Please post if you find the plug for this. Would like to take myself back to the school cafeteria days.

Exactly. There is a time & place for Totinos, and it's 3 a.m. after a loooong night.

since i was a kid, i don't think i've eaten a frozen pizza that would rise above the level of "edible" but i tried a paul newman's thin crust from kroger's a few months ago and have been eating the pepperoni one like crazy ever since. sauce is actually good, the thin crust seems like a much better thing for a frozen pizza because normal crusts either dominate the pizza or just taste funny, and the pepperoni is good. finally a frozen pizza i like.

loved totino's as a kid and now i almost throw up when i see a picture of one.

Trying it for the first time tonight, decently priced at HEB, looking forward to it.

I've seen this pizza before at H-E-B and didn't buy it because of the box design. A 3 year old could have designed something better than this piece of crap.

Yup. My dad worked for Sysco and we had them at the house. Didn't ever taste quite the same though.

Needed to be cooked with jaded indifference by a surly cafeteria worker.

There's that particular umami that can't be replicated anywhere but in an occasionally-cleaned commercial oven that has the flavors of 26 different dishes baked-in. Mix with a dash of sweat and an aura of grumbling and you've got culinary magic to a 10-year-old.

This goes for deep fryers too. I certainly can't replicate the steak fingers in cast iron. I know mine are better, but they're just not the same.

Just picked up this bad boy at my local HEB. While it's not a frozen pizza per say, it costs only around 9 bucks and its huge and scratch made, NY deli style. Just look at all of that pepperoni goodness!!!! You will have multiple orgasms in your mouth when you eat this. Highly recommend!!!
