    If OKC can put together an appealing package for him and he wants to go there, more power to them. I just can't talk myself into losing rotation players outside of Ryno for 33 y/o Melo.

    This is so ridiculous.

    Chris Paul came to Houston because of James Harden, not a 33-year-old Carmelo Anthony (who was never here in the first place). On paper right now, without Melo, it's already the second-best roster in the league. Houston can also give Paul a 5th year next summer, which no other team can do. Beyond that, the only reason Paul is a Rocket is because he specifically informed the Clippers that he was signing with Houston in free agency (which would've almost certainly been a four-year deal).

    Since Golden State isn't an option, the Rockets will be offering Paul a better roster and substantially more money than any other potential suitor next summer. Get a grip.

    Why do some of you refer to him as 33 year old Carmelo Anthony?

    AND

    Why do you have to preface comments with "I've never been a Carmelo Anthony fan?"

    Although I don't see why Melo would want to go there while it's a great big 3, Rockets offer a big 3 and very solid role players to go along with it.

    Melo is picky and stubborn. It's late July and Bill Simmons (when does he break anything?) is throwing a dart here.

    As previously mentioned, Houston will have its super team.
