F**K YOU PRESTI!!!!!!! THIS F**KING GUY AGAIN!!!!!!?? if OKC comes in and gets Melo for a bag of Fritos, I'm going to lose it.. I'm seriously going to lose it..
I didn't expect clutch to be late on something like this. It's already being discussed in another thread. No offense to the great one!
Gotta say I'm impressed here. But, I think OKC has the same issues we have. They won't want to give too much up, and they are down to few players they would be willing to let go of in the process of acquiring Melo. If you add in the fact that Melo has not said anything official about waiving the NTC or the kicker, the offers from OKC might not be worth a damn.
George can be there for 1 year and bounce. OKC might be the one team more uncertain of its future past this year then Cavs. Knicks trying a last stitch effort to gain leverage over Morey.
the league is trying to stop melo to houston. THIS IS ACTUALLY IMPRESSIVE AT HOW HARD THEY ARE TRYING
If melo did agree to this I swear that would be such a knicks thing to do. They can only trade two players in either kanter and adams. Kanter is worth less than nothing, anderson is worth nothing, and adams might be worth something, but at his salary you expect more.
A. Melo would not go there over Houston. B. OKC would have to include Kanter (2yr 40m and a worse player) in a trade and they don't have a first round draft pick to trade with him until 2022. C. Bill Simmons' scoops always suck
OKC might have some assets that they could part with that would be better than what we, Portland, or Cavs can offer. They can exchance Melo for Enes Kanter, and Doug McD and/or a 2nd round pick/cash/NG contracts. Knicks win because: Enes comes off the books in 2 year at $17/19mm Enes can play center, avoiding anymore Rolo PT Doug is on a rookie contract (2018 RFA) and shoots well OKC wins because: They get a 3rd star Trade a player that was defensive swiss cheese and another that was hardly used (probably b/c of defensive woes) They just signed another PF that plays better D, making Kanter expendable anyways Come on 'Melo. Stay pat, baby.
Good fit for Melo actually. Could play the small-ball 4 with PG at the 3. Gives them some much needed offense.
