It would take some selling by Morey
    and
    Some Significant compromises
    and
a hell of alot of luck . . .. luck like the kind that you make by locking someone's daughter in the brooklyn basement.

Houston sports has been fairly unlucky over the years.
This would redeem it in one second.

There are 30 teams and to have the dumb luck of being THE team they decide to come together on?

You dont think les wants to sell high and add in a team of harden cp3 anthony & james?
Les is the most motivated of us all. He has 2 billion and change reasons..

an aggressive billionaire trying to add value and to sale price. You dont think this super team would help a tad?

Les will do even more to sell high. Think about it. This is something along the lines of how stars align and you get the girl somehow

I think it is better suited as a dream for next year when the hard cap is lifted

    Melo can opt in.
    We can trade for Lebron
Sign scrub Wade to the tax payer mle
    Give Paul what he wants

Be super duper tax payers but have the best team in the NBA and multiple championships lol

    It is perfect storm stuff.

People are more inclined to spend money on fixing up their house if trying to sell. Guess what? It works! We are fixing up the house big time here folks.

In sports there is a higher valuation of a team relative to winning %

Les is getting this house show ready having a super team would be ultimate sell high.

We as fans reap the rewards of les upping the ante.

Tonight we eat lobster & steak!!

    For a championship?

Knowing LeBron, he will most likely want to do another 1+1 deal to keep his options open. That gives the Rockets a two-year championship window, then if LeBron wants to take his services elsewhere, fine you blow up the Banana Boat, trade everyone including Paul and Melo, and start over again.

Guess who's still under contract with the Rockets until 2023 and will only be 30 a couple of years from now?

The Harden Banana Boat continues long after the first shipmates are gone.

If LeBron comes here, Wade will follow.
If LeBron comes here, Les will hold off the sale for a little bit.

Com'on now, you pay him whatever he deserves under the rule if he comes here. Such a no brainer.

If that lineups happens here, they should just hand the trophy to us to save other teams traveling for nothing

Lebron would become a god playing PF for MDA. I don't know that Lebron is willing to play PF and I don't think we have a decent chance at Lebron, but damn. If MDA/Morey can describe this vision to Paul/Harden, and Paul/Harden could communicate it to Lebron...

Think like Lebron for a second. There are some options in front of him.

He could stay with Cleveland. This is the worst option. No elite players are joining him there again after this circus. Gilbert is etched in stone as a POS owner now. Their GM and coach are average at best. The team's money is tied into Love, Irving and Thompson. IMO this team is done. Even if Carmelo joins, they are unlikely to mount a better challenge with this set up.

He can join the Lakers and try to beat the Warriors with George/Ball/Ingram. If you are being realistic, he will win 1 as his ability to be impactful while dominating the ball diminishes. It would take a serious jump from Ball and/or Ingram to make that team better than the Warriors. These are Lebron's last few years. The last time he will switch teams. But there are other factors at play - playing in LA and reviving the Lakers to glory can drown him in fame and money. Lebron wants to be a billionaire and he wants to do it by getting more rings. He is not satisfied with being 2nd best ever imo. Walton is going to be a great coach, and he knows the enemy well. Buss, Magic and Pelinka understand the top tier basketball and politics game. But, he will be 33 when this thing begins. And Ball will still be a kid. And Paul George is not a Harden, not a Paul, not a Durant and not a Curry. He's a Scottie Pippen, and a Scottie Pippen is not enough these days. Who plays SG in a Lebron/Paul/Ingram trio? This is a great option for him to try to nail all his goals. He can achieve incredible things with the Lakers, but it will require him wasting 1 of - let's say - his 4 final seasons of dominance. That's 25% of his shots at the title, gone. None of the key Warriors players will even be 30 by the time Lebron starts this project.

Or he can join the Rockets. The gigantic problem here is that I don't think he can force his way to the Rockets right now, otherwise I would have no doubt he would do it immediately. Houston's market is not LA, but it's far ahead of Cleveland. But China matters to a Lebron James management team. China matters a lot. There would be no shortage of NBA attention on the team with Harden and Paul there. Paul and Harden have a few seasons of prime elite basketball left to play and they are pumped up. Paul, Harden and LBJ would castrate the Warriors right NOW. No need to wait for players to develop. No "will he fit in" questions. No nothing. Right now, Bob Myers ***** himself if Lebron joins the Rockets and we would be in contention for 3 years EASY. Melo and Wade would still be in play if they get buyouts. Silver could then sell the Eastern conference to China as a package deal, let them play in the CBA and have a little fun you know.

But we have basically no chance of making it happen right now. It can easily happen next summer. But I don't think we have a clear case as the best option for his future next summer. The Lakers improve dramatically in a year. And now Lebron has to think about younger players carrying him later on in his personal contention window. What happens during the season will matter too. It's really too bad. NTC or not, Gilbert is aware that Lebron is trying to crush him, so he won't send Lebron to a new super team for mediocre assets. Unlike Melo, Lebron is an expiring contract and the Cavs aren't trying to rebuild their image.

I think it would look bad if LeBron asked for a trade after Kyrie asked to get out first. Cavs would have to be the one to decide if they want to trade. I don't think LeBron will request a trade himself just yet.

No it wouldn't be the most hated team in NBA history, that's the current Golden State Warriors, this team would essentially be the Avengers, saving the NBA from KD's b****assness.
