McHugh looked good. Had that rough finish, which may or may not have been fatigue related. Otherwise velo was solid and breaking ball looked crisp. Martes has wipeout stuff that would be perfect for pen work, something that can't be said for Musgrove. If it comes down to those 2 out of the pen, the choice is pretty obvious IMO.
Good luck to Moran. Never saw that before, but seems it should happen periodically like pitches to the face.
Martes hit 99 yesterday. Very few pitchers can match that. Control is clearly an issue, and I'm not sure his changeup plays well, but definitely impressive out of the pen. At worst he is Michael Feliz.
Sportscenter just had a good (nothing new or earth shattering) interview with Springer, they're going to interview Altuve in about 30 mins. Springer, when asked to explain his hitting philosophy during his career year: swing really hard and hope I hit it. He called Altuve a "cheat code" and "create a player".
They asked Altuve what he can still work on as a ballplayer, his first answer "baserunning". Good man.
