The Cavs won't get Melo but it seems very likely they sign Rose.

No, that team won't get to the NBA Finals because without another superstar offensive player, the Cavs will be MUCH easier to defend.

LeBron isn't willing & able to carry a team on his back an entire season and playoffs. He turns 33 in December and is getting impatient.

Surround LeBron with "merely" Love, tristan thompson, Jr Smith, Korver and fill the rest of the squad with minimum salary NBA players and I'm still taking Lebron over any other eastern team in the playoffs.

Are we forgetting Lebron nearly beat the 2015 Warriors by himself? Without Love or Irving? Are we forgetting that Lebron is still the most dominant and supreme player in the nba, ESPECIALLY in the Playoffs.

Sure Lebron is 33 and he might not carry the team throughout the regular season, but come playoffs, mark it down... barring injury to Lebron, the Cavs are in the Finals, with or without Irving.

Lebron is that good and the East is also THAT bad.

That is pretty nasty, and Simmons is a complete unknown at this point.

If I'm Philly I do it. I trade either of them for Irving.

Exactly. And he's in the East. He can take 20 games off and Cavs still finish in the 4th seed and get to the Finals.

Regular season in the East don't matter. Cavs proved that this year. They let Celtics get #1 seed and it meant nothing.

Now if Lebron took 20 games off in the West, Cavs won't even make the playoff.

But Lebron is in the East, he 's going to the Finals for record 8th straight season. It doesn't matter if they have Kyrie or No Kyrie.

I'm seeing that Kyrie consulted with Kobe before making the decision to ask for a trade lmao.

Thank goodness Harden doesn't slob Kobe to this level. The deification of Kobe has led to Westbrook's horrible brand of martyr-ball and now Kyrie blowing up this Cavs team.

The more i think about, The more it seems like melo wants to join the Rockets and compete with the Warriors so LeBron comes to Houston.

There's nothing wrong with it. But he lacks the overall game be the lead dog on a team. All Kyrie does at an elite level is score. He is a terrible defender, and doesn't look to get others involved. That's why he's well suited in his role as a second banana next to LeBron. Of the teams he requested a trade to, the Spurs and Timberwolves would be the best fits for him as Kawhi and Jimmy Butler can mask his defensive woes.

As for the Cavs, they could actually improve if they trade Kyrie for the right package.

yeah that's what a lot of us see but as a player and from his perspective, i can see why this is now happening. to be fair the Kyrie we saw when he was alone in Cleveland years ago is not as good as who he is now. hes gotten better and is now more experienced. Not saying he can be the one of those guys that can be the alpha on a winning team but he obviously has confidence in himself to believe so. but basically it seems like for him enough is enough after all these years and all the drama that comes along with being a teammate of lebron and the control he has. he wants the option of being able to control his own path while entering his prime years. in this era of followers and super teams, this is good to see imo

Cleveland water makes people lose their minds. Careful what you wish for. You might end up in another cleveland winning 30 games a year

Kyrie won't luck his way into a 'Pau' the way Kobe did.

Look at the disgusting martyr ball seasons Kobe had post-Shaq, that's what he is most likely in store for.
