all this stuff about teams not having to trade players... once a player goes to the press and says he wants out... he's killed the chemistry on the team. pissed off the fans. etc. at that point you have to trade him because of chemistry issues in my opinion. Cavs bets short term move is to trade kyrie. best long term move is to blow up the team

This is terrible news for us in my opinion.

If NY believes they have any shot at getting Kyrie, they're not trading Melo to us any time soon.

Carmelo, Niti and a couple 1sts isn't that unrealistic.

Let's trade for him! All the point guards belong to us!

Melo has a NTC. He'd be dumb to want to go to the Cavs without Kyrie over us.

Melo has been in a s**tty situation for YEARS with the Knicks.

Any team with Lebron James is a massive upgrade for Melo, Kyrie or no Kyrie.

I'm aware and I agree that he'd be foolish to go there but you never know how strong of an influence LeBron has on him. I'm sure he didn't reportedly waive his NTC for Cleveland with Kyrie being the primary factor.

The cavs should just trade lebron now and try to keep going with kyrie and love. If anything they should try and dump Thompson and jr smith to a team willing to gamble. If cavs get anything decent they can still compete in the easy. Maybe nuggets would bite they have a ton of 2/3 guard depth and could give away faried. They would be risking a departure but maybe a team just feels lucky and or stupid.

Good idea. But don't forget LeBron has a NT clause.

Kyrie for Kemba could be a possibility too. Upgrade for Charlotte.

It's silly to assume NY has the inside track to get Kyrie here..

The Rockets and the knicks have a lot more history together and I think they will end up working things out.
