That's an offer the knicks can't refuse. Sorry Rockets fans Melo is not going to be a Rocket at this point.

You and about 30 other posters immediately speculated that Kyrie's discontent meant Melo ---> CLE. You posted nothing about PHX, Bledsoe or any other potential details, unless I missed it.

He is also extremely raw, was considered a bad pick at that slot, and has not proven anything against NBA competition.

    ......ok.

no, that's what you're convincing yourself to believe. Lebron wants melo bc a) he's still a damn good player and b) they're great friends. neither of those items change just bc kyrie is gone. it doesn't really matter what random biased rockets fan thinks how much better it makes the cavs. you're making a far greater logical leap to assume that lebron all of a sudden doesn't want his 22p/pg scoring good friend simply bc kyrie isn't going to be there.

I'm sure Lebron does want Melo. Does Lebron want Melo at the expense of Kyrie? I doubt it.

Yeah, Kyrie would be better for the Knicks for sure but you forget the No-Trade Clause. Why would Melo want to go to a team with no Kyrie and a LeBron that might leave next year?

Lebron is not the GM of the cavs anymore. Kyrie is leaving because he doesnt want to play with this guy anymore! Lebron is also in a likely position to leave next year. Cleveland has learned that there king would leave them. They have better wised up and actually for the best possible deal! Which isnt an 33 y/o Melo. Needs to be young promising players and possibly picks.

There were Melo to Cleveland rumors all season long, but the Cavs were unwilling to trade Love for him. Lebron wants Melo, but not at any cost. It has to make sense and clearly improve the team. Trading Irving for Melo is even worse. Any Irving trade for Cleveland in which the main haul is Melo is a clear downgrade. Lebron is friends with Melo, but he isn't dumb.

Thanks. So basically Melo still controls everything, and from what we've heard he prefers Houston.

And Bledsoe in 5 years proved what exactly? Aside being a ballhog with two or three knee surgeries?

Considered a bad pick by who btw? Not that i don't believe this, but some analysts (i remember Lowe and probably Arnovitz) actually think he's going to be better than some players drafted ahead of him.

The Suns are now going young anyway so, whether you like it or not, if your core is Booker, Jackson and Chriss/Bender, it makes more sense to have a guy like Ntilikina than Bledsoe.

Just trade Capela for melo and lebron will come.

Is morey willing to risk losing a lebron, melo, Paul, harden super team over Capela?

Unless of course LeBron doesn't come and we traded Capela for a 34 year old Melo.
