Man. I know Tucker is a good defensive player... but who remembers Harden always turning him into BBQ chicken every time they play. Lol
I'm not sure anyone thinks Melo is amazing here, he's better than Anderson, but at this point, the gap with this roster isn't large enough to warrant trading anyone but Anderson. If it involves Ariza, Capela or Ego, then the answer is no, that makes us worse, and the goal here isn't to add name, get worse like NY did when they got him. I don't know if Morey is offering a draft pick, maybe one first rounder, but that in my head sounds like too much given their position, I'm not sure i would go past a cpl of seconds. Melo gets us closer to Golden State, but it doesn't get us close enough to mortgage the farm. On top of that, I tend to think at this point Melo wants a shot at winning with his friend, so he has no reason to give NY any additional leverage, and if anyone thinks it can't possibly get worse for the Knicks, they haven't watched the Knicks enough, there's no such thing as can't get worse for them.
i expect the warriors to swoop in last minute should melo get bought out. he makes that warriors team instant top 1 in the nba.
Love Tmac to death. But his, "if we don't get out of the first round or it's on me" quotes in hindsight look sad.
Melo does seem to be putting in some work this offseason. Get this trade done Morey. CP3 Harden/Ego Ariza/Tucker Melo/Mbah/Zhou Capela/Nene/Black I'm going up against GS with a lot of confidence with this roster.
Crazy thing is I rarely hear this from or about Melo. Last time was 2012-2013 when the Knicks won 54 games, time before was 2008-2009 when Denver went to the WCF.
This guy needs to stfu or the Knicks are going to use this argument to ask more in the trade...lol He really looks in better shape than how i remember btw...
Yeah, I went to a regular season game in early 2015 against Phoenix and the Rockets got their asses kicked. Harden couldn't get going in that one and did one of the patented "mental checkouts" in the 2nd half. I can't remember if it was Tucker guarding Harden, but whoever it was did a solid job on him that night.
I remember Harden cooking K. Leonard for a entire game but two big plays at the end of that game by K. Leonard made everyone forget about it. Saying that to say no one can really guard Harden straight up.
