Totally agree. Plus the objective here is to not only get better, but add more weapons to close the gap on the Warriors. Losing two guys that fit the system perfectly for Melo probably doesn't accomplish that. Morey should and will wait this out imo.
Re-affirms yesterdays report that Knicks still committed to trading him to Rockets, that they haven't asked him to expand list of teams: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...e=twitter.com&utm_campaign=NYDNSports+Twitter
Been almost three days since he was introduced, so wonder why they haven't picked up talks again if this true.
I don't buy Melo wants in with the Blazers, that would put him too far from his son. I'm sure phone calls were made very casual between the players, Melo was nice to them didn't want to hurt their feelings.
Yeah, the NYDN has said this is close/at the 2-yard line for awhile now. Now we're already talking about LeBron James.
If he does go there it is as a last ditch effort to escape the Knicks....and it will be a mess. Think Dwight Howard, his mind will be on FA for the entire season because it'll just be a temporary thing. With him being 33...I think he's set on Cleveland and Houston, and since Cleveland has seemingly gave up the pursuit, it's either Houston or NYK right now. With him being 33...just can't see him wasting another valuable year of his career on a team he doesn't seem to really want to play for. Either way, if he goes there, so what really? I think our team is still better than theirs with Melo. Dame and CJ are both borderline all-star players and Melo is too at this point of his career. We are really just trying to replace Ryno with Melo.
I did this morning. She ain't leaving NY. Melo trying to figure out his next step. NY did not pan out the way he thought.
I don't know how he hasn't gotten the mess slapped out of him in the studio yet (or maybe I've missed it) but give him credit... he has guts to just come out and ask the questions everybody else dances around. His Birdman RESPEK interview was still among the most awkward-but-hilarious moments... and he just wouldn't let up. lol. BTW, I'd never heard LaLa interviewed before (I just don't follow pop culture stuff much), but she sounded pretty cool/down-to-earth. Maybe I'm completely off on that.
Why wouldn't Love get included (to appease LBJ, of course) with Po'land happy to swap their contracts for their hometown fella? Just because things are quiet in Cleavesburg does not mean they're cadavers. They are a true threat to steal the boat on this.
Maybe, but if Cleveland were going to trade Love they probably already do I think the feeling is they don't think replacing Love with Melo gets them past the Warriors.
This has been said but Cleveland would not trade Love for Melo without a Lebron extension. That would be stupid of them as they would slip back into the basement after Lebron/Melo leave
