Reminds me of the top end Honda Ridgelines. MSRP is around $44K, and people buy them. If the price point starts around $45K, I think some people will buy them because they want a luxury SUV, but need to carry something dirty twice a year, so they want the bed of a truck.
It's either gonna be a total flop or a home run. Everyone ridiculed Porsche for the Cayenne and Panamera and those turned out just fine. It looks fine, but if Mercedes would just make a truck version of the G Wagen they'd have every yuppie contractor in this state wanting one.
Starting at $40,000......but not sold in U.S. I guess this is built for the Arab Shah trekking across the sand dunes to visit grandma. Not bad for a mid-size truck, and drives like a truck, unlike that Honda Ridgeline http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/07...x-class-pickup-is-ready-to-haul-in-style.html
It's being made by Daimler and be Renault. Does not give me a good idea about its quality and reliability.
