CP3 should just put up a table in front of Staples center to recruit all the Clippers that are coming in thru the door. Its nice in SoCal today.
This works out fine long term for The Rockets! Jj gets his money plays one year for the sixers. Next year when the Rockets trade Ego so they can assemble the Full Rocket Banana boat with Harden/Cp3/Melo/Dwade/Lebron we are going to need Jj to sign at minimum.
Redick isn't my ideal player, but off the bench he would have been great. He could play off either CP3 or Harden and has hit 44.6% from downtown over the past three seasons on high volume. That's nearly Kyle Korver accuracy at a much higher clip. Our offense is so reliant on three point shooters and I've wanted someone like Korver on this team for awhile. Shooters on that level are annoying as hell. We've seen how deadly EGo is at only a 37.2% accuracy and Redick is a better shooter from every spot on the floor. Most importantly, he's healthy. I like EGo, but it's not like he's blowing Redick away in terms of defense, rebounding, or drawing free throws. They're on the same talent level.
I'm glad we missed on him. He always seemed to hit early but fade as the game went on and eventually disappeared in crunch time.
Rox are talking to teams about an Anderson/Gordon combo trade. Gordon is underpaid as much as Anderson is overpaid. The question is can they acquire enough assets out of a combo trade to get Melo and replace Gordon?
If we were using him for crunch time given the players we have already, something went wrong. Our closing lineup should be CP3, Harden, Ego/Anderson, Ariza, and Capela.
I'm saying if we already had Reddick that Morey might not have any qualms about adding EG in a trade to make it happen
Curious, how many posters speculating what the offer was actually listened to Redick's podcast. He talks for an hour on it, and even made a documentary of live moments, including the moment MDA called him followed by his agent. Good stuff. Gives good insight in how Morey valued him vs our ultimate 4yr deal to Tucker, which got to believe Redick would have taken per everything he said about stability and his wife, etc. Looks like we valued defense higher. I see you still haven't listened to Redick's hour long podcast. Truth hurts
J.J. Redick looks back on his time with the Clippers: "It's shitty to say this, but I think I've had a loss of joy. I look at our team and how we play, and there's no joy in it.
