He has one more year and if he's the piece to get melo, I think we have to do it. 1 year and then possibly $15+ milly a year. A chance to early implement our big 3 is going to take time. We need all the time to implement it since that's a drastic change and involving heavy ball dominate players. I trust Morey to find another athletic C to set picks, catch lobs and play good defense.
i gotta respectfully disagree fam. I don't think pick and roll finishers like clint are that easy to find and don't think that we need to trade him. We were already undermanned like crazy against san antonio last year when nene went down. having 3 max wing guys with no competent pick and roll threat is not how dantoni wants to run his offense. We don't have to give up Clint and we shouldn't give up Clint. He's one of Morey's best late 1st rounders. We are capped out, we can't even afford a good replacement if morey did find one. We need to keep capela and resign him next year.

i like Capela but IMO if it's the piece to make the deal go through now, I would prefer to do it then wait it out and the Knicks being Knicks, never know what can happen. But if we can get this deal done without Capela, even better
