    Black and Reed are similar level players IMO. Black already played with Harden, and the Rockets organization. He's the safer bet, Morey know's exactly what he's going to bring, know's he will have great chemistry with the team and organization.

    Plus a huge part of this is Nene and guaranteed playing time.

    There will be plenty of nights were Black doesn't play, where he only gets 5 minutes. Clippers don't have a backup center currently and Reed is probably guaranteed to get 15+ minutes for all the games he can play.

    I wish we could have gotten Reed for the minimum and saved the BAE for the buyout market at the deadline (Wade).

    The BAE for buyouts is so overrated. Wade isn't going to pick us over Cleveland because we can give him an extra $2 million minus the offsets. We've been able to outbid teams consistently and have never landed those guys. Bogut wouldn't even sniff us last year when he would offer more money than Cleveland.

    If we get a buyout candidate that's worth caring about it will be because we are a championship contender in their eyes and they pick us over the others.

    Black is younger so he could grow more and is a grinder. The type of player you want as a role player.

    Easily, IMO.

    Guaranteed fit and chemistry with Harden, the organization is a big plus. Willingness to sit on the bench for half the season without complaining is a big plus, not a lot of players would be willing to do that.

    He's right after Deandre on the depth chart, right? It was reported weeks ago we had interest in him -- I'm guessing maybe a full-time backup role was more appealing than a part-time one.

    The Clippers are going to be interesting. I won't be watching them because I don't care to see Bev in that uni more than is absolutely necessary, but they'll be interesting.

    Had to pay Tarik $3.3M, nobody wants to play with Harden (except CP3, Tucker, Mbah a Moute, etc.) unless you overpay.
