    He's right. Doc Rivers is dumb enough to give Pat an extension. Also, since Ballmer was willing to squander Microsoft's cash, why wouldn't he squander his own for a middle-of-the-road team? Microsoft's stock closed up 7% the day he announced his retirement.

    He's going to struggle and show once again that he's not starting PG material without Harden and MDA's system. He's going to have a hard time trying to put up 12 points and dishing 4 assists.

    Probably mentioned before, but I wonder what this means for the Carmelo Anthony negotiations with the Knicks. On the one hand, prospective owners may hedge at having too many guaranteed contracts, but on the other hand, having a Big Three in place could make the team seem more attractive.
