    Injury prone Blake Griffin that has faded or got injured in the playoffs every year? Yeah, great pick there. Also, what part of CP3 and Griffin not wanting to play together did you not get? As for backup PG and C, which ones would you get? What price? How long?

    You have no control over it dude. Banging your head against the wall wont help. They are doing their best right now. Do you think if you were the rockets GM then you could magically make melo appear for ryno tonight?

    This is reality. Teams go long times without chips. Warriors broke a crazy drought 3 seasons ago. Cavs broke a drought 2 seasons ago. Mavs broke a drought in 2011. Lakers are now in a drought. Knicks have been in a drought forever.

    Stop acting like we have it so bad and enjoy that we are one of the 4 best teams in the nba trying to make moves. We are knocking at the door

    At the Jump today, Bobby Marks speculated that the Melo situation is heading into a buyout, the question is how much of a discount he'll take. Woj also reported that Melo is already willing to waive a trade kicker (of $8M or so) to get a trade done.

    If this is how it happens, it would be a good result-- getting Melo without losing Anderson (expensive contract, but still useful player).

    As has been mentioned by other posters, a buyout means no bird rights. no bird rights means we have to sign him beyond next year with cap room or he has to take a massive discount.

    If we get melo with bird rights, that leaves the door open for the entire banana boat crew to unite in Houston.

    A buyout would also likely mean that Melo would be paid almost all of the $54M owed to him under the Knicks contract, so he may not be very concerned about how much he gets paid from 2017 to 2019.

    In the end, though, the Rockets may not have a choice. A buyout might be the "least bad" option for NY and Melo if NYK is unwilling to take back longer contracts.

    What The Health on Netflix made me a believer in a plant-based diet. If Bosh says he went vegan to get rid of his blood clots.. I don't know... maybe?

    I thought Lamar Odom Syndrome was cocaine and hookers not blood clots.

    Newsflash ............we would have had to gut the entire bench gordon, bev , everyone to sign griffin. He would have had to fit into capspace or do a sign and trade. That sign and trade would have had to have been even larger than chris paul in what we traded away. There was no way we could add blake griffin without gutting the entire bench plus patrick beverley. You people acting like GMs out here. Dumb af

    and if you make the cp3 trade we dont have the contracts to do a sign and trade for griffin without anderson and gordon or anderson ariza and non guaranteeds that we had left but some cant be traded till august. You have no clue how anything works
