We've been blessed to have such an amazing owner in Les Alexander, who really considered the Rockets to be his way of giving back to the community by putting a winner on the court for us to enjoy. I'm not sure that we'll get a better owner than Les, but I'm interested to see what characteristics you deem as being most important in the new ownership.

Integrity and deep pockets. Fertitta doesn't have the integrity. He might have the deep pockets. Maybe. I hope not.

-main focus is on winning and competing for chips

    -willing to pay the tax

-will trust the front office to make good decisions and won't act like he's the smartest guy in the room

-continues the tradition of treating our stars right

    -will change the uniforms

-will come up with ways to get the Toyota Center more lively and energetic during games (something has to be done about the lower bowl, it's embarrassing)

    -won't even think about relocating

I want to see a basketball machine from top to bottom. Focused on the game and not the extra stuff that doesn't help winning. We don't need bottle service and giant tv's in the stadium.

Had a tough time choosing between "Hands-off approach" and "Loyalty to current management." Right now, they're one and the same: Just let Morey do his job.

My biggest hope: No good ol' boys. Someone more like Les instead of the typical Houston sports owners of the past (Hofheinz, Adams, McLane, McNair, etc.). These types usually run loser organizations thanks to their handshake deals and general southern beau attitudes.

#1 reason should be loyalty to Houston. I'd be heartbroken if they got relocated.

I feel that Morey should be in the rafters next to CD one day, so it's really important to me that the new ownership lets Morey do his job, gives him all the resources needed, and gives him at least through the end of his extended contract before considering a change.

Yao Ming should be calling his billionaire Chinese connections to build his ownership group. I think a group like that would check all of the boxes and calm the nerves of everyone.

I would say it's close to zero percent chance the Rockets would leave the city. The NBA isn't going to want a city the size of a Houston to be without an NBA team.

    1. Do something about the horrible "corporate" atmosphere of the Toyota Center crowd.
    2. Give Morey full autonomy as the GM.
    3. New branding and classic unis.
    4. Put Mark Cuban his place as the worst owner in the state of Texas.
