    I hope the Rockets get a Uber rich owner like the Clippers who doesn't care about money at all. And only winning.

    I'm in the same boat. I think we can all agree he was a progressive forward thinking owner who wasn't scared of spending. Enjoy your "retirement", and appreciate everything you've done for rockets fans. Here's hoping the next owner shares the same ideology.

    Yeah but I doubt that Les will go into his 80s and still be the owner..... he doesn't have the money obviously.

    Houston sports. Verge of something special and we get a massive kick in the balls. I ****ing hate this bullshit.

    Chris Bosh 2.0, this could affect Melo's desire to come here and Chris Paul's desire to stay here. And now there's the added worry of the very slim, but non-zero chance of the Rockets getting moved out of here.

    Has it really? There have been plenty of bad times during Les' tenure. The firing of Murph, Turbo, and Steve Patterson(the first two were reversed). The awful spaceship pajama uniforms. That embarrassing "Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" court in the 1995-96 season. The front office decisions made by Rudy and CD in the post-title years. The premature extension handed to Kevin McHale.

    That's not to say someone else couldn't come in and run this franchise 100 times worse(see the New York Knicks). But let's not act like Les is some sort of genius owner just because he inherited a couple of title teams when he bought the Rockets in 1993.

    I am surprised with some of the responses here. Based on what everyone has been screaming on the boards the last few years, a new owner is exactly what everyone wanted. Personally, hopefully he is selling just so he can enjoy the rest of his life and not something more serious. I thought he was always a great owner who cared about winning. As much as people did complain Les was still a top owner in the NBA. Imagine having a guy like Sarvar selling first round picks and dumping players to get under tax.
