    That's what is scary about this whole thing. New ownership group could come in and want to relocate.

    For any celebrating, just think about Steve Ballmer and the state of the LA Clippers. It is scary to have the potential to have an owner who may come in and try to take over. Les has shown his management team a high degree of trust. That may not continue.

    When a restaurant changes management, sometimes your old favorites just aren't the same. Or even offered on the menu.

    Don't know how it will affect our basketball team, though. Hopefully they get someone competent with deep pockets who WILL NOT EVEN DREAM OF MOVING THE TEAM ELSEWHERE. (Easier said than done, anyway.)

    Makes sense that Morey got that long-term extension (he's earned it this summer anyway). And Harden (also earned, although, wow, $$$$$$$$).

    Damn. Les is a great owner, but he is getting pretty old, 75 i believe? It's probably about time to step away, and if he doesn't feel like he can pass it along in the family the only thing he can do is sell.

    I just hope he does us one more solid and sells it to a compentent owner.

    Will any buyer keep the team in Houston?

    Yes.

    Time table?

    No. Best that stability is sooner rather than later but won't rush it. Management team will be operating the same before as after. Make sure it's the right buyer. Les has the latitude of time. Ideal quicker than longer but will follow the process with the league.

    You said management will remain the same after the sale. Is that contingent to the sale?

    Wouldn't say it's contingent but with Daryl & others being extended, we'd hope they think it's being run in a manner according to what a new buyer would expect. That's up to the new buyer.
