I didn't leave out anything. I said it was up to Melo. Go to Portland or stay in NY. Houston has little leverage. Knicks can keep Melo. Poisoning Kristaps? What does that even mean? They've played together 2 years already. Kristaps is a big boy and Melo doesn't have that kind of influence on him.

CP3 is a 10-time allstar, 4 time All NBA 1st team AHEAD of Lilard. Harden is a 5 time all-star, 3 time All NBA 1st team AHEAD of Lilard. Stop being delusional with the 4/5 seed crap. .700 with Nurkic doesn't mean ****. You were the 8 seed and with all other teams in the West has gotten significantly better I'm not sure if POR would make the playoffs next year. On the other hand we are legitimately the 3 seed and added a future HOF. You are a joke.

Houston has leverage as long as Melo wants to be here.

Well there you go. If Houston truly wants Melo, Ariza/Gordon would have to be part of the deal. Then Portland may participate. Portland holds more cards than you think.

Melo wants a chance to win the big C, not just win. Now keep your face straight and tell us that Portland can offer him that chance in next year or two

He screwed the KNICKS......not because of anything other than the fact that they are the KNICKS. Morey is much smarter than that. He won't give up anything of consequence.

The only leverage melo has is that they told him they were going to trade him here. His agent had to push how unprofessional a betrayal it would be to go back on that.

I can't stand hearing people say if they don't trade him he'll walk for nothing. They aren't getting offered anything worth a damn to begin with. If he would agree to play out the year and opt out they'd probably be thrilled to let him walk and get the cap space.

Basically the only push here is he and his agent appealing to mills and Dolan and saying hey, you gave us your word.

That's just not true. Houston would have leverage if losing him for nothing was a fear but Knicks are in a position where losing him for cap space is good for them.

    Exactly.

Their best outcome is melo sucking it up, playing out the year and opting out.

Absolutely. I'm sure the Knicks would like to keep their word but that can only happen if a team like Portland takes Ryan Anderson and it appears Portland is no longer interested in that.

No we don't. And no you don't. If you don't understand why Houston in fact holds all the leverage, then this is a pointless discussion.

Except he has a no trade clause, so he can easily say no to any trade he doesn't like.

I live in NYC. What are you implying with your question? What part of my post do you not understand?

Cool. So you're cherry picking two seasons ago when everyone and their grandma know Harden was screwed out of an All-NBA team.

Why are you cherry picking that idiotic tidbit... is it because Lillard hasn't come close to sniffing an MVP not once, but twice? Sandwhiched around your little cherry picked stat.

CJ averages 20+ and would make All Star team out East. Chris Paul is one of the best point guards in league history, and the best point guard of the past decade, and makes the All Star team in the West.... so.... your rebuttal?

From nearly missing the Playoffs to all of a sudden challenging for home court. Wow. That's a very optimistic (note: more likely delusional) goal you have there. Of course Melo should go to the team where in fantasy land they could challenge for home court over the team who has repeatedly had home court in recent seasons.... so.... your rebuttal?

Your dream land was all well and good. Sorry for applying logic and fact to make those walls come crashing down though.

That only gives him leverage to control where he goes if traded. Totally agree that if the knicks move him he has total control and we get favored

I suppose an invading Blazers fan is just what this forum needs right now.
