    This isn't a standard trade situation.
    Melo holds THE trump card with the 'no-trade' clause. He can't be traded at all if he says no.
    He can currently direct what teams he'll approve trade to. Right now that list includes HOU and CLE.
    Portland has NO bearing other than being a trade partner. No matter how much lipstick they try and
    put on that pig, it's still a pig. They have no influence to woo Melo.
    If Melo doesn't agree to be traded to Portland, then it doesn't go anywhere. AND they don't have any of
    his friends named, LeBron or CP or Dwyane on their team.

    Along with Charlotte and Portland, another team with similar odds to land Melo has stepped into the fold. The Rooosevelt elementary 8th grade lady tigers of Peoria, Illinois are now inquiring about Carmelo's availability. Point guard, Little Cindy Nesbit has reached out to Melo by emailing a drawing in crayon of her pet gerbil.
