As great as a value signing Luah Mbah A Moute and a excellent pick up Melo would be, our bench looks pretty shallow with only Gordon and Nene able to score. I know there will be staggering, but the Cavs have taught me you need off the pine even with 3 All-Stars against the Warriors.
The cavs have guys that can score on their own off the bench? Actually they have guys that can't really defend on their bench
I've been so Melo frustrated! I'm so glad for this release! I couldn't hold it much longer...mhhhh so satisfied.
So because he was a bad starter for the Clippers, we should avoid signing him to be a bench player? I like this signing a lot because it's cheap, we need depth, we need defensive-stoppers, and he can hit the 3. What more do you really want? And for the record, I liked the PJ Tucker signing just as much.
He wasn't a bad starter for the clippers. He's Not an offensive weapon and the clippers have needed that. Also, this was his first year starting for the clippers wasn't it? Took s big step forward. The clippers were basically done before the season started
I want consistency from Clutchfans. That PJ tucker thread was a disaster and I walk in to this thread like this was the best signing of the off-season.
I like this signing a lot. Most of us already know he has been a stud defensively, but I see some promising offensive things in his game from the spot shooting to the ability to attack the rim a little bit if given a lane. He won't be called upon to score much and shouldn't, but at least he can a little if he has to. Has he kind of turned himself into a poor man's Battier aka "the no stats all star" ?
