    I took it more as chill fam, I don't want to be here. When they paused to ask him to stay when they really wanted him to add more teams.

    Maybe they were hinting we will keep you if you dont add more teams. Melo cares about his image and he wants this to be done quietly, the knicks dgaf like always.

    It seems the Knicks wanted the new GM not to have his day and news cycle robbed by news of a Carmelo Anthony trade. Whether Perry or Mills actually want a placating conversation with Carmelo Anthony is unclear, perhaps doubtful. I can't blame them for slowing their roll, but in the end, Carmelo will be traded. He is none of those things they are supposedly looking for. He'd be the odd man out at best. An expensive odd man out, dragging the team down.

    I truly believe that is a way of saying he will turn it into an ugly divorce if they dont accomodate him and buy him out or send him to one of his 2 teams

    thought experiment. ryno makes like 20ish and gordon makes 13.25ish. Would people still be super upset if that was switched? Because it affects the Rockets and our cap hit the same.

    Perhaps one can make an argument for trade value but we pretty much need to trade the 20 million guy to make salarys match in a trade for a star regardless.

    Either way all of this is a moot point if we get melo and end up with cp3,harden,ariza,melo, capela with gordon, tucker, nene off the bench.
