playoffs exposed our lack of rebounding and defense in the post though, and black is worlds better than trez in both those categories. that being said, wish we could have kept trez as well

Great hands, good finisher on the roll, not afraid to mix it up, young, what's not to like. He's severely underrated. Hopefully we don't miss a beat when Nene is resting.

When we had that "How the hell are we doing this?" run to start 2014-15, Tarik Black was our starting C.

Dude can play on my team anytime.

    Considering we need a big:

    - no chance you get Gasol with the BAE, and i don't even think he would come here anyway to play 20 minutes one game, no minutes the game after...

    - i wonder what Reed is going to get, i like him more than Dedmon, he's also younger...he should get more imo, we'll see but i don't think you can get him with 3M...

    - Speights is a good shooter for a big, but his defense is literally horrible, he was a bad defender even with the Warriors...i would never want him as my backup 5, as third center yes, but only for the minimum.

Which Green? Other than Willie Reed (who in my mind, is in about the same tier as Tarik), this list is hilarious. You'd rather have inefficient Brandon Jennings, who shot 21% from 3 last year, old Mo Speights, or washed Deron Williams -- over a young guy we already know is hardworking, has good chemistry with James, and will allow us to maintain Nene's rest plan? o_O

One of my favorite games of the last few years was when he was beating up on Gasol and Randolph as the Rockets blew out Memphis.

Somebody should've told CP3 before he spent so much time gushing about him at the presser

Insurance big in case of injury and when Nene rests. Will be extremely important throughout the year.

Guys don't peak until their late 20s.

So... Yes. That's why the Knicks only want players 25 YEARS OLD or younger.

    Rotation

    CP3
    Harden / Gordon
    Ariza / Tucker
    Anderson (Melo)
    Capela / Nene - Black

    Non-Rotation Backups
    Taylor
    Williams

    RGV
    Qi
    Oliver
    Onuaku

Leaves us with 1 roster spot and both two-way contracts. Feels like we need another rotation guard for 15-20 mpg given how much we like to play small.

There are bigger needs on this team. There are many players in the league that would thrive playing limited minutes with most teams worst defenders focused on them because of the rest of the talent on the team.

I've said it several tims in many threads that Willie Reed should have been our target. Black is undersized who cares if he works hard. He probably would have signed for less. I don't see him as a difference maker.

Hilarious? We need a backup PG. Jennings is still young, very athletic and would fit nicely with the Rockets. Not everyone has to be a 40% 3pt shooter. Deron Williams is also still dependable and could do well against 2nd units.

The other guys I named are still solid defenders. Gasol is obviously not realistic unless he wanted another ring and was willing to do a 1 year deal cheap. But I do appreciate your opinion.
