He's up there in age, but he could be had for the veteran minimum, and we know he can fit D'Antoni's system like a glove. There aren't many big men in the league today who pass the ball better than Diaw does, and he's a versatile defender.
That's what P.J Tucker is for. He chips in quality minutes at the 3 so Ariza can play more at the 4 while they run Zochee through the Dawson eight-week gauntlet.
Until he does it again though, it is still an outlier, granted with a fairly large sample size. He is a double-double machine though, if we scale up to 36 minutes.
Be careful. We have 7-8 guys here who think he's the next Ben Wallace. Nanu Zhou Qi Dirk Nowtzki brother Rest of Summer League team besides Troy. Delete them from your mind. They will never play on this team and 99% don't make NBA teams.
Perfect guy to fill in for Nene. Has always known what he is and what his limitations are....those guys play well under MDA.
I love Tucker, and he's a far better 3/4 option than Dekker was last season. But the team had an issue with depth at the forward spots last year and could use another guy who could come in play some 4. Imagine a scenario where Anderson/Melo gets hurt next season. They'd have Ariza and Tucker to feasibly split time at the 4 and literally nobody else. I'm just not comfortable with that.
Love it, hated when we had to release him a few seasons back, did well with the Lakers, good 3rd C for us.
That's why a lot were salty when okc grabbed ppat for 3 yrs $15mill People didn't understand, they were just like grow someone at the 4 yeah ok Same people who will Collin when someone hurt or depth is needed in playoffs
He is very good at the PnR. He sets really hard, committed screens and rolls even harder to the basket.
