This actually makes me think that the trade is imminent. Once Melo rejects them they will pull the trigger.

Carmelo Anthony has to be personally tired of this sh**. The Knicks have handled the last two weeks really badly, and now they probably have to start trade negotiations all over again because of the new gm hire. If I were Carmelo Anthony and this new guy from the Kings asked me if I would consider staying with NY I would laugh in his face. Anthony should be saying "trade me now."

He will be... only he will now be saying trade me to Miami, San Antonio, OKC, or Golden State.

That's the whole point. Force Melo to increase his list of teams so they can get a better market.

Sorry but some of you people have such a short memory. This is ROMO all over again. Down to Denver or Houston remember? Then what? It's HOUSTON people!!!! We don't get great things. Just average to good. Never more. Let this melo thing go and quit posting about it. It's not going to happen. It would've happened already if it was meant to be. Let it go. Just accept the warriors are the dynasty for the next 3 years. I hate it too. But we can't do anything. Morey made his bed giving Anderson 80 million. It's his own fault.

Morey asked the Knicks to put out that report so that tomorrow can be all about CP3.

Now that the NBA world "knows" the Knicks are "pausing" Melo trades, that won't be a discussion for tomorrow during the press conference.

Won't be surprised if we get a report on Saturday/over the weekend/Monday that the Knicks are "reigniting" Melo talks.

*not promoting this as a fact or that I'm an insider. Pure speculation. lolol

Without Anderson we don't have the season we just had in turn CP3 doesn't have Houston on his list which takes Houston of Melos list. Anderson played a role in last season and Hardens dominance. People to chill on him. Seriously

That's not happening. Nothing will get Melo to do that because if he wanted more teams he would have given them those options, it's always been Knicks, LeBron's team or Paul's team with the Spurs an always viable option.

He'll be a Rocket, nothing has really changed.

You see to me it's about winning championships. Ryan Anderson does not help you win a championship against the likes of golden State. I'm sorry I know he's good at what he does but he does 1 thing and didn't do that 1 THING well at all at home or in the playoffs. So yah 80 million is steep for a one trick pony with a gimpy leg. Is Carmel enough to put us over the warriors? Probably not. But he puts us in a much better place to at least put up a fight than Anderson does. Again I don't hate Anderson or anything. It's nothing personal I'm sure he's a great guy. But if you can have Anderson for 20 million or melo for 27, you take melo 100 out of 100 times. I got my hopes up. I'm disappointed. Sue me.

Im just passing along whats being said behind the scenes at espn.

Melo will be a rocket. Doesn't matter if it's tomorrow or next week. There is no other outcome that makes any sense. Knicks don't want Melo... Melo wants Rockets... Rockets want Melo. That much is certain and the hold up has nothing to do with that. Rockets in full control here unless they decide they don't want Melo.

I like your confidence. and i see you've been on this site since 2000. good enough for me. But have you considered that Melo could broaden his list of trade destinations the longer this drags out?
