Watch the new GM buy him out. We'll get Melo for free (basically) like we originally should've. Worthless sac Anderson gets to stay and build up his value and all will be fine.
The new gm will make it easier. If he doesn't trade Melo to Houston Chris Paul will have all these players on the knicks playing terrible.
Calm down. They're obviously gonna show some respect to the new GM they just hired and let him have some say. But at the end of day, Melo bridge is burnt. There's no going back. He's leaving one way or anther. Like they keep saying, it's a matter of when, not if. Only this time the "when" is much further down the road than expected...
In a buyout we're not going to win against recruiter LeBron. Even if LeBron says he's bolting after this season Melo wouldn't be too mad about signing a one year flyer with Cleveland and getting a guaranteed finals appearance.
Why nene and Harden basically said this is a done deal? Then knicks paused talk...I don't understand.
https://www.google.com/amp/nypost.com/2017/07/13/knicks-have-sights-on-kings-exec-as-next-gm/amp/ "Now Perry will attempt to deal Anthony to the Rockets in a multi-team deal, a potential trade put in motion by Mills."
I think its become very clear what happened with all this buzz. These online hacks probably heard through their "sources" that Melo had informed the front office he would waive his no-trade clause for Houston and since we know New York would have liked to move on they began accepting talks. So they all immediately tweeted and publicly stated that Melo was going to Houston because thats what all sides wanted but these idiots don't actually know how the NBA works and didn't bother looking at each teams roster to realize how difficult and complicated it would be. Everyone wanted to be "first".
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ut-carmelo-anthony-trade-talks-hold-want-back The New York Knicks are pausing trade talks centered on Carmelo Anthony and want to pursue a conversation with the eight-team NBA All-Star about possibly reincorporating him into the organization, league sources told ESPN. After talking with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers for nearly a month to help engineer deals for Anthony, the Knicks told both teams that they're stepping back from trade talks for a short time, league sources said. Anthony had become eager to waive his no trade clause to join either team. The departure of Phil Jackson as president -- and the impending arrival of Sacramento executive Scott Perry as general manager -- has pushed the franchise's top basketball executive Steve Mills to reconsider the Knicks' intentions on trading Anthony, league sources said. It is believed the timing of that communication with Houston and Cleveland coincided with the clandestine negotiations that were ongoing with Sacramento and Perry, the Kings VP of Basketball Operations. The Knicks want Anthony to meet with the new front office and coach Jeff Hornacek in the near future, but it's unlikely that Anthony will respond with eagerness about a plan to reincorporate himself into a franchise that has been pushing him -- publicly and privately -- to accept a trade out of New York, league sources said. Anthony has been fully focused on getting a deal done, especially with advanced talks that surrounded Houston. The Rockets were working on a four-team trade with the Knicks that had gained traction throughout the week, league sources said. The Rockets have been eager to partner Anthony with Chris Paul and James Harden.
Haha, that was fun. I can't wait to see some yall's faces. Sounds like the NYC were so offended that they were like screw it ... we would rather keep Melo and let him walk next year.
